Happy Caturday friends and kitties!

Shadow is warm and well-fed. I seem to have the opposite thing going on in my house with this time change - I'm having to chase everyone down to get them to eat. I can't leave bowls down in the daytime because the yapper loves FF. So I have been free-feeding the past couple of nights (too cold in the house to get up and feed) and then nobody but the sugarkitty shows up at the breakfast table. This will be a good schedule for us thru the cold months ahead, they find a warm spot and sleep the day away anyway, they can just stay up all night grazing, the yapper is closed up at night in her little house. Our first winter since FD came to our house, we are still trying to find out what works.

long story short, I have slept til 8a.m. the past 2 mornings - yum!

getting more concerned about this dandruff thing, she's got that oily flakey coat again, like she had when she was first diagnosed. I hope the tuna & oil helps that - it is on her menu for lunch.

any other dandruff treatment that I need to know?? I'd appreciate some helpful hints. I'm kinda worried.

Nice AMPS for Shadow! My Shadow had really bad dandruff before he was dx...but I have noticed a wonderful change in his fur over the past year. No more dandruff and his fur is very shiny...silky really.
A good quality oil helps to lubricate the skin from the inside out....Omega 3 fish oil is something that Shadow eats straight up on a plate. Raja will not touch it. And she seems to know if I try to add oils to their food.
The tuna oil should be good...altho I think that's vegetable oil and not the 'best". It is still good for LB action and hairballs I believe.
Evo 95% has herring oil which is awesome but my two are on strike from that now. They ate it mixed for awhile with Wellness. Wellness has flaxseed oil which is not the best for cats according to some sources. Some people use Olive oil but that is an Omega9...not as good as Omega 3. Maybe she would lick up the oil from an omega 3 capsule...have you ever tried that? Do you brush her? That might help....there might be a product online that you could investigate...salmon oil or something like that...

Beautiful amps for Shadow today, Kim!! So it's frosty there today? Haven't talked to the "unamomer" as Celi calls her mom...fits mine too
That is the one thing I like about cooler weather...turning on the fireplaces...ours are all gas except the one outside so if we want to burn wood and get
that smell, we hang out there!!

BTW, I bought one of those ceramic Pioneer Pet fountains a year ago...LOVE IT and so do the cats. I don't buy the filters as they are made in China and
I haven't noticed a need for them. I wouldn't recommend the stainless one...it gets deposits even using bottled water.

Have a great day!!

Such gorgeous numbers for Shadow! If you go for the salmon oil, but capsules and squeeze it out, don't buy the bottled type. It goes rancid really fast. Tess adores being brushed, I usually use a man's boar bristle hairbrush fro the beauty supply shop. Inexpensive and lasts for ever.

Re: 11/06 Kim's Shadow amps~91 + timechange funny

Thank you for the laugh Kim! I love Simon's Cat.

Blackie has bad dandruff off and on. I think brushing really helps. I even brush him backwards to get the flakes loose and then brush forwards. I've tried wiping him with a pet wipe, but it didn't work. And Blackie will not eat any kind of fish oil. Hopefully Shadow will like the fish oil.

the video is hilarious......had me rolling on the floor......

very nice numbers today........sleeping in to 8:00am .......nice.....well deserved..
