Hi everybody. I just got back from taking my grand daughter to day care and visiting Tori at the vets. So before I Hit my bed for a few hours sleep before I start the process over again I thought I'd better update you.
Well your prayers and healing vines for Tori have certainly been working. She looks so much better. She was so excited when I got there. She was trying to give me head butts through the kennel bars and was looking for a tummy rub. THey still aren't sure what's going on with her. They haven't got the Pancreatitis test back yet. Her WBC is good so that means the chemo hasn't knocked it out. She's not anemic. Her electrolytes are all so she's receiving Potassium in her IV for now. Her sugar of course was high and the lab was asking if this is a very uncontrolled diabetic. The vet laughed when she said that and said she said actually is normally very well controlled.
So the plan is to keep her on the IV til her electrolytes are better and wait for the rest of the blood work. SHe is still receiving the Buprenex and is on a broad spectrum antibiotic as well. She hasn't vomited for them but isn't eating either so they syringed fed her and want me to bring in some food for her so I'll bring some of the Merrick and Fancy Feast that she normally likes and some really stinky fishies as well.
So that's it for now. It looks like Tori won't be able to go and visit with Bear today unless the kitties stage a jail break tonight after the Vetty Beans go home. She wants Bear to know how much she loves him and that she wants him to feel better so much.
So I'm off to bed. Thanks so much again for the LL magic that has been sent our way. There's a blizzard in our neighbourhood even though Edmonton is sunny and warm today. Love you all.
