10/7 Ella meter says HI

She didn’t really want to eat, but I was able to get her to eat about 1/4 a can of fancy feast and then I gave her .5 of lantus.

how long before I should notice her BG level going down? How often should I check her blood?

If you can you may want to get a before going to sleep test to see how much she has come down.

I’d get a +2 test to start.

I just checked it 2 hours after her shot and it’s s reading high

I think you can just get a before bed test. The depot might take 5-7 days to build.
