Despite increased medication, fluids and syringe feeding Gus was declining rapidly. We had house visit with his vet and when it become apparent that there is nothing else that can be done he was helped cross the bridge.

Oh no Elizabeth!

My deepest condolences, for the loss of your sweet boy.
I know your heart hurts now, but setting him free is the greatest gift we can give them.

Fly free and land softly sweet Gus,

Oh no Elizabeth!!! So sorry it was time for Gus to leave you!!

He couldn't have had a better mama and I know you did everything you could for him

Fly free sweet Gus and land softly! Send your mama a sign that you've made it to the Bridge and are happy and healthy and waiting for the day when you'll be together again cat_wings>o

I'm so sorry Elizabeth. You did the most loving thing in letting him go. Fly free sweet Gus. Sending prayers. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

{{{Elizabeth}}}

I am so saddened to learn that Gus is at the Bridge. I know how hard you tried to help him and how painful it is to say goodbye. I hope you find comfort in the fact that you did everything possible for him - more than many people would - and that you made his quality of life your first priority. Setting him free is the hardest gift to give, but the most loving.

We all grieve with you. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Fly free, sweet Gus, and land softly.

(((Elizabeth))) I'm so very sorry, my heart hurts for you. It's the hardest most loving thing us beans need to do sometimes. Gus had the most wonderful, caring bean and he'll always be with you. I've asked Doodles to show him the way. Fly free sweetest boy Gus, land softly and play freely. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

((((((Oh Elizabeth)))) I am so very sorry to be reading this. You were such a loving and caring bean and I know that Gus left to the other side knowing your love. Peace be with you during this very difficult and sad time.

Fly high Gus, land softly. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

I have no words to much my gratitude for the support we received. As my vet said "what could be better than beautiful day, being held in the arms of a beloved family and no more pain."

Elizabeth, I'm SO sorry it was Gus' time to cross....BIG HUGE loooooong hug. Remember - he's not gone, you just have to hug him differently.

Soar high on your new angel wings sweet boy...landing softly back in Mama's broken heart.

Hugs and prayers,

Oh Elizabeth, I am so, so sorry for your loss! I'm sending prayers and hugs and healing vines... You clearly worked so hard to try to help Gus. Again, my deepest condolences on your very great loss... :bighug::bighug::bighug:

I’m so sad to read this, Elizabeth. I hope you can get a little comfort in knowing you did everything possible and therefore can never have any doubt that you made the right decision, as difficult as it was. Gus knows you put his needs above your own. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Dear (((Elizabeth))), Gus had a wonderful life with you. All the GAs at the Bridge are welcoming him tonight, and, since it is the night of the Full Moon, all his pals here in L&LL will be able to glimpse him through the veil during their Circle of Remembrance. Your boy will always be in your heart, in that special place that belongs only to him.
Fly free, sweet Gus, on your beautiful golden wings, and send a sign to your mamabean that you are safely arrived at the Bridge. You are much loved.cat_wings>o

In deepest sympathy and loving remembrance,
Ella & Edward, Rusty, and Stu (GA)

I'm so sorry ((((Elizabeth))))
I just lit my candle to help Gus to The Bridge.
He knows how much you love him and how hard you tried. It was just his time. :(
Many tears, for your loss.

(((((Elizabeth)))))
I'm so very sorry. It is never an easy decision. I hope you know in your heart that you made the right decision for all of the right reasons.

Fly free Gus and land softly.

I am so sorry it was Gus's time to go to the Bridge. I'm glad he had a peaceful, loving passing. You always did your best for him, even at the end, when that last, loving decision is so painful. I hope your wonderful memories of him will help to heal your heart. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Gus will always be with you.

Fly free, sweet Gus, send your Mama a sign that you are safe and happy in your new life at the Bridgecat_wings>o

Dear Elizabeth - it is with such a heavy heart that I got home from dinner and saw your posting. I am so sorry - this pancreatitis/IBD thing that ravage our kitties is so cruel. Gus is no longer suffering - You were such a loving, caring kitty Mom. I agree with Sienne and I too hope that you know you made a kind, loving decision. RIP, little Gus. So sorry, Elizabeth.

Oh Elizabeth...I have just seen your post about Gus. I am so so sorry. I know how much you loved him and you did everything humanly possible to help him. It is so hard to make that final decision.
Fly free dear Gus and land softly at the Rainbow Bridge where all your friends who have gone ahead will be there to greet you.:rb_icon:cat_wings>o

{{{Elizabeth}}} I am so sorry it was Gus's time to go. You did all you could and I'm sure Gus knew that. I could see such mutual love in your posts. Take care of you too - it's hard been such an intensive caregiver. :bighug::bighug::bighug:

((Elizabeth))

So very sorry to hear that Gus has crossed the Bridge. Allowing him to go was indeed the greatest ( and hardest) gift of love. :bighug::bighug:
