GA 10/30 Titan. Crossed the Rainbow bridge today

To all our extended family here on the FDMB, I want to let you all know this morning I took Titan for his last trip to the vet. The last few days his eating had dwindled to nothing and drinking stopped as well. He was comfortable and passed in my arms. Paula and I agree we could not have made it this far without all the help and handholding this community has offered. He truly was a wonder puss the way he came into our lives and filled a huge void left by our two other diabetic kitties we had back in the 90's. I'm sure they and drooler Milo met him at the bridge. It's always tough making that final decision and although this wasn't my first trip around that tree it never is easy. 6:15 am and pm will never be the same for me as I will want to be in our chair checking his BG, feeding and shooting his insulin. 16 months and I only missed one or two. I'll be checking in and keeping tabs on everyone cuz once your in the habit it will be hard to stay away. Peace to everyone and chin scritches to all the kitties. :cat: P.S. I do owe an explanation as to how he got his crooked grin, I'll post that when I'm better composed. Ed.
 
What can I say.

I'm sad and sorry for you all that Titan's day had come . Glad to read it was peaceful and in your loving arms.

Join me then on the now un-needed poke and shoot chair of times past . I have patted the place so you can settle and tell us all about his wonderful crooked grin.

Sorry to hear about titan. I believe their spirits soar on the wings of an eagle. So when you see one stop for a moment and look up and remember the good times. Remember his spirit is watching over you
 
Oh my ... I can’t believe I am reading this. I am so sorry it was Titan’s time. 6:15 was Gizmo’s test, feed, shot time as well and even though I take care of all the other animals at that time, it just isn’t the same. Gizmo will be there to greet Titan at the rainbow bridge and show him around. Wishing you guys peace and comfort at this difficult time.

I'm so sorry it was Titan's time to cross. Remember - he's not 'gone', you just have to hug him differently.

I am so sorry for your loss Ed. I followed your threads closely, Titan reminded me so much of Bronx's acro battle. He was a true fighter and you and Paula did everything for him. Prayers & thoughts are with you and Paula.

OMG! I guess I have not been following you guys closely enough after I lost Frosty, I am so shocked to read this. I am so sorry to hear that it was Titan’s time, especially after everything you have gone through. If there is anything you need, please let us know. We are all here for you. :bighug:

Oh Ed, I am so sorry to hear it was Titan's time to leave you and Paula. Diabetic kitties burrow into our hearts, but the extra care and attention Acro kitties need makes that bond even closer. You and Paula loved him so well and did everything you could to keep him happy and healthy. My heart aches for your family tonight. I'm sending you and Paula vines of love, peace, and comfort during this difficult time. Fly free sweet Titan and land softly. 7:30 is still an alarm on my phone. It will be a while before you stop feeling anxious around 6:15. In the mean time, take care of you. :bighug:
 
I'm heartsick to see this. What a brave little man he was and what a lot you all went through together. Since I've been here, I've adored his beautiful face that showed so much charm in addition to his complicated journey. Wishing you comfort in this time of great loss.

My dear sweet friends, Ed and Paula, I am so very heartbroken to read that Titan is gone. He holds a special place in my heart, I grew so fond of him, I'm so very sorry. He will have an extended family at the bridge to greet him, and so very many here who will miss him :bighug::bighug:

Yo Titan, iz gonna miss you my pal, we sure had some good tymes, you go on and chase some butterflies now, I got those sharkies covered.

The decision to let one of our kitties cross the Bridge is heartbreaking no matter that intellectually, we know we are making the best decision possible. It still leaves an ache. FWIW, my civvie, Gizmo, learned that shot time meant food! He still either wakes me or lets me know it's 5:00. It's a bittersweet reminder.

Fly free Titan. There are many friends waiting to greet you at the Bridge and they will keep you safe until you are reunited with the ones you love best.

Thinking of you and Titan tonight. Our Acro kittehs take so much from us, but give us back so much in return. Titan was a good furkid and you gave him such a great home. May his gentle spirit fly freely and land softly at the Bridge.cat_wings>o
