With human meters you reduce if under 50 and the Libre is a human meter. They do sometimes read lower when a line is recorded which is why we suggest an ear prick if you are around to confirm. There really is no way to compare the meters. Plenty have tried. So pick one and use the other as backup if you get an off reading.

You are NOT dumb. I just can not type well. I meant to write lime. In lower numbers the Libre is often lower than either the pet or human meters and if chesckesd on the other meters is not in the lime range. Sorry for the confusion.

Oh ok no worries thank you so much. Is the Libre the same as Freestyle Lite?

Oh no so these low umbers I'm celebrating today aren't because hes doing better but likely just because the metre reads lower?

Thanks for the clarification about the 50! Need to get that in my head now (and 68 out!)

I don’t know why I was thinking Libre. It’s different. Ignore what I wrote. The FL is not like the Libre as far as low numbers. Part of what you are seeing is progress and some might be due to switching to a human meter. Just forget about trying to compare as it’s impossible. It’s good you switched to a human meter. I still suggest rechecking any time you get a lime reading or a BG thss just doesn’t seem to make sense. Sorry for confusing you. Celebrate the nice bgs.

Freestyle lite is in md/dl so I am totally lost in that world.

Do I just fill in the US part now?
Surprised that you get meters that read both mg/dl and mmol/L! Are you comfortable with both?

If your meter reads mg/dl you would enter only the US sheet.

When I did my functional medicine training we were encouraged to get metres to test ourselves and how food affected our blood glucose. I probably didnt understand what I was buying - or maybe I chose it as my training was via an Americancentre so they were talking in md/dl. I cant honestly remember.

I do have another one somewhere, maybe that might be mmol but I can get to it right now.

I am not comfortable with mg/dl at all, but I have written myself a chart so I can quickly see what it means in mmol
