I hate that daylight savings time is coming and soon my cats will only get sun on the weekends. But, we did get lots of walks today.

Last night (after the pet store closed) I realized that I did not have any of one of the canned foods that I use to make J.D.'s syringe food. The store did not open until 9:00am this morning, and I only had 2 syringes left for this morning. He got those and we started Mirtazapine 1/8th pill every other day. Is that dose too much? Also, is it okay to give Mirtazapine and Bupe together? I didn't give him his bupe this morning, because I figured it would be like those kids that take uppers and downers together.

I put Frontline Plus on Ginger only, today. I really think the bald spot on the back of J.D.'s neck is from the bibs, so have been using only hand towels since I discovered it.

J.D. ate pretty good today on his own, for him anyway.

How do you post on Face Book? I want to post J.D.'s birthday so people will come celebrate his big day. Do you just go onto your home page and write something and it appears by itself on the Face Book?

I'm glad J.D. ate pretty good for you today. I don't know about the meds for Facebook. Hopefully someone will be able to answer your questions soon.

hehe the meds for facebook? autocorrect at its finest!

i think you can give mirtz and bupe together. I'm pretty sure i gave both to punkin at the same time. I don't recall the dose for mirtz.

I did not give J.D. any Miralax this morning (thankfully) or Buprenex.
At PMPS, he ate some FF Chunky Chicken and we went for a walk. He had big diarrhea out there on the sidewalk. The only tissue or paper I had with me was my grocery list on an 8 by 11 piece of paper. I picked up what I could and J.D. of course wanted to keep walking and walking..while I held the stinky piece of paper. When we finally got home, and I cleaned up, I syringed some of his normal syringe food and he went more diarrhea on the carpet :-| and I saw the blue Denamarin pill from this morning in it (I know too much information) and there seemed to be a little blood. I have Flagyl if it continues. He went to bed, I still need to go to the grocery store. Please send tummy healing vines to J.D.
And, Ginger hasn't left the bed room for about 6 hours. I had company over this afternoon, and she usually comes out to "protect" me and she didn't. When J.D. and I went out for that last walk, she usually joins us, and she didn't leave the bed. So, I hope Ginger is okay.

Off to the grocery store, to get gasoline, and then maybe time to heat up some dinner, then bed. Work tomorrow :(

Sending lots of tummy and GI settling vines for JD. :YMHUG: Buprenorphine is constipating so might help that too.

i noticed after I gave anya Frontline the first time that she slept most of the next 24 hours. Have you noticed this with Ginger before? I have no idea if it's the same thing, but we switched to Advantage for her and she doesn't have any noticeable side effects from that.

sending tummy vines to JD. that sounds like no fun.

Hi Dyana,
I'm sorry you had such a trying day. Sending lots of vines to J.D. and also to Ginger. It may have been the Frontline. We use Frontline because it protects against ticks as well as fleas, whereas Advantage, I believe, is only for fleas. If ticks are not a problem in your area, you may do better in the future with Advantage. (But living where you do, the ticks that carry Lyme Disease may be worth the day or two of not feeling well owing to Frontline.) Anyway, I hope both kitties will be feeling better soon.

Hugs and scritches, and good wishes for a non-eventful evening!

Sending vines for both J.D. and Ginger....feel better, kitties!!

I'd be cautious with the mirtz and bupe at the same time...maybe check with your vet. Trix did not do well with cypro and bupe at the same time, but she's also on BP meds. The whole combination made her frighteningly weak and woozy.

To post on FaceBook, log in to your account, and at the very top of your NewsFeed screen is a box that says "update status"...type whatever you want to say in there. You can also add a picture of J.D. (and Ginger) in your post/status update. When you're done typing and adding a picture, click the "post" button, and voila - you've shared J.D.'s birthday with all your friends!

Sorry to hear that J.D. is having some tummy issues. Billie is having some diarrhea as well, so she is stopping by to commiserate. We're sending lots of vines his way. I hope Ginger feels better soon too. It definitely sounds like it could be the Frontline. My girls sometimes get lethargic from the flea meds. Other times, they are totally fine. It's hit or miss. When is J.D.'s birthday?

Oh Dyana, I am so sorry to hear JD and Ginger aren't feeling well- here are more healing and feel better vines for all of you!! :YMHUG: :YMHUG:

When I used Advantage on Tiger, it made her very sick to her stomach. I laid off all flea meds for a few years after that-afterall, she is an indoor kitty. However, we started using Revolution, and surprisingly, no ill effects.
