Hi all!
I posted previously here about my newly diagnosed 15 y/o, Willow
https://felinediabetes.com/FDMB/thr...usual-response-to-lantus.295138/#post-3215873
Was very worried about her symptoms since starting on Lantus.
Trying to keep my Patience Pants on!!
I asked my vet to switch to ProZinc, which I received yesterday and planned on switching to today but decided to wait based on the past 24 hours. Don't want to put her little body through too much at once.
Yesterday she had a random drop to 140- her first blue number since being diagnosed. She seemed to be doing well yesterday, overall.
Cue to this morning- I wake up to her crying in the bed. Like, a lot of crying and just hunched down a bit. It was time to wake up anyway and get her test/feed/shoot routine done. When I turned on the light I noticed a couple of small pee spots on the bed. She has NEVER peed outside of the litter box.
AMPS was super high- 405.
I'm worried that she's unregulated and want to switch to the ProZinc to see if her other symptoms improve some- mostly her restlessness. She also had a collapse/seizure event on 10/16 which is mentioned in the previous post I linked at the top.
Is the peeing in the bed worth a trip to an emergency vet or urgent care?
Her bloodwork is on the SS and looked really good to the vet.
Ketones were negative at Dx but I have not been able to check ketones at home yet.
So far today she has been using the litter box and no more accidents. Drinking water, sleeping, and ate all of her breakfast before insulin.
Sending love to everyone <3
