Poop - more solid- still way to stinky.. WOW that cat can stink up my entire house in 10mins!!
Pee- good
acting great.. running around more, coming out to living room
Hair on belly and inside of legs and neck is FINALLY growing in.. I am AMAZED!! that cat has had a bald (as bald as a baby's butt) for years--maybe he has had diabetes for years?? regardless the Fancy Feast no grain low carb is doing the trick- THANKYOU FDMB!!
Eating is fine- did add 95% Venison EVO 1/2 can last night - he ate it. Added this since it is better in nutritional value than the fancy feast however will keep at the Fancy feast as well. Just add EVO 1/2 can daily to see what happens with his BG numbers.I won't change his Lantus dosage until he has been on EVO for a while and it is recommended to change from FDMB.

Thank you! I really feel good! I feel so happy that I"ve stuck with this and stayed close to this site and thank GOD I have a vet that listens (and never looks at me like the crazy cat lady that I am-ha).

I'm working on the litter/litter box issue in the house-that is coming along nicely- THANK GOODNESS for catinfo.org and Dr. Pierson!!!

Briquette my 18yr grandma cat..well she is doing fine..just started thyroid medicine yesterday..low dose..all other numbers looking good -yipee!! now 2 more cats to go for vet visits/blood work. Pepper (khan's brother-has crystal issues-currently on dry Hill's c/d) I will have a blood panel ran and urine checked..he is fat! working on switching to wet-still not sure if there is a Over the counter canned food that is better than the low pH that Hill's c/d offers)
Then Gracie (7 yr old female).. Loves to meow downstairs and is very vocal..did have her urine checked a few months back but should have blood work done-just to rule out anything funky (cancer etc) so I know the meowing isn't due to pain. ONCE THAT is all done I will be able to breathe a bit more easily- just knowing my 5 cat family has been checked and where their health is. I wish I could take both in and get it done rt away but I don't have that kind of money..so it is one paycheck at a time.

I use to have 10 cats but that was before my child was born and I was married. Now I'm a single mom and at times it can be very frustrating, trying and exhausting. I'm dedicated -well because I love cats (like we all do) and see 3 of the cats Khan, Wisp and Briquette -owner -was my mother-n-law whom came to live with me, she died in a car accident. She loved cats like I do. We actually made a pact that if one of us died the other would either place the cats or keep them. Well we were devastated at the loss so I refused to give them up (and at that time I had 3 already-Pepper (Wisp's son (Khan's brother)). So you see that is how I came to now have 5. There is more to the story to add up to ten but another time we can chat about that.
I am dedicated to figuring out a schedule of cleaning the cat boxes that is not so time consuming/costly and reduces the smell. I have decieded on Dr. Pierson's approach. I'm waiting for my brother to bring back 3 storage bins (shown on catinfo.org) and I already have the litter. I am confident this method and home delivery will save my sanity!
I'm now blessed with a vet that listens and helps me with keeping the costs down. Plus now I have FDMB. What a blessing. I work with animal lovers and am connected all day long to animal lovers so I do have ways to gain additional information but man oh man..sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy.. try to get home at 645pm, check BG, shoot cat, crush pills-feed to two cats-making sure no other cats get at the food, eat yourself, clean boxes.. plus have a 3 yr old past his bedtime wanting your attn to read but now he is having a fit. Sometimes I jsut have to get online and zone out. Ha!
 
Hey binks did I ever tell you your cat picture looks exactly like my Shasha? I gave her away to a good friend that has a child with autism. Shasha and that child bonded so I had no choice. Shasha choose him over me. Shasha was a special cat that seemed to be able to sense how you felt and what needed to get done. maybe it is why she bonded with the child???
