All is well in CurryLand.

She's flatter than a pancake w/these numbers.

Sidney is getting her mojo back....little less skiddish now......it helps not having repair folks coming into the apartment.

Glad all is good in Curryland. What a pretty SS, a green and blue sea! :-D I hope you get through all the repairs soon!

Sometimes it takes a while for changes to show up. She's is so nice and flat, perfect really. If this dose doesn't bring the preshots down, the next one might, but there's no reason to rush at this point. This is a good time to play around with when and how you're feeding Curry to see what makes a difference in her numbers. My apologies if that has already been discussed here, I've been a bit out of the loop.

was just peeking at Curry's SS and saw your kitty box note. I've been reading up on Feline Futures and trying to figure how I'd work some raw into the wrecking crew's diet. On that site, they say it is common for kitties on a raw diet to only poop every 2-3 days and it will be very small doodles because their systems utilize such a high percentage of the food they take in. I kinda figure the same is likely to apply to our guys as their diets are higher protein and so much less fiber than when they were on dry. Do you ever see the girls straining to poop? Have you converted Sid to wet food? The wrecking crew all eats the same thing. The yapper would eat their diet too, if she could get it.

I had reduced her food intake on 9/21. Curry unlike most of the diabetic kitties didn't lose weight as a sx of diabetes. But she actually needed to do so. So I looked at Dr. Lisa's instructions for doing so....Curry did lose weight ....I started adding some calories back into her diet to stop the weight loss. She seems to be a good weight right now. She looks better. So the added food lately might be impacting the glucose vs insulin need???? She also went from the EVO 0% carb to the FF 2% carb when we moved....she didn't like EVO after I had to force feed her once. She might be really carb sensitive?????

Libby, in terms of food manipulation.....what sort of suggestions do you have. Right now Curry eats 1/3 of her food at shot time...then another 1/3 at +1 and another at either +2 or +3. She has a snack at +8. Any other suggestions....????


Kim...regarding food. Sid won't even touch the canned. Ugh. She'll go up to Curry's and smell it...won't even touch it. I'll put it out next to her food and its a no go. She is extremely picky. She is just now getting her "old" routine back as far as eating goes....I might try again after we get the tub fixed and everything gets back to normal again....and reintrodue the wet to Sidney. Would make life easier and then I wouldn't have to worry about Curry eating Sid's food that I watch like a hawk. Curry hasn't been straining lately....she did awhile ago but then I've added the miralax....I increased the miralax now to 1/4 a day to see what that does for her......no pellet size bms....nicely formed probably due to the miralax and I also give the lax'aire every other day to both of them....
