WCR Good start today on the second floor :smile: Two of three Ps in place today still waiting for LB#2 Powder is particularly active and engaging today. He's also very hungry eating breffis #1 & #2 right down and asking for more. It could be my imagination but I think it had something to do with that fairly flat line of yellows. By my calculation he spent about 14 hours at least under the renal threshold :RAHCAT I have to go to tbp today so I hope that he continues with this.

Powder is starting off very nicely... in healthy numbers. That is always such a good thing. Very encouraging beginning for a Monday. :lol:

Gained 1.2 pounds in 6 days (Minus the weight of one pee :lol: :lol: )

WCR all Powders Ps intacted including #4 pee'd off and #5 pee'd on :lo: This Prince is definitely feeling better :!: Except for food spike at +1stress at the vet all yellows. :-D Instead of doing ear poke which he would have been fine with vet insisted he needed more blood so took him"IN THE BACK" nailbite_smile to do a blood draw. Powder didn't like that one little bit and growled and yowled so loud I could hear him cat(2)_steam (P#4) Then because he wouldn't use the LB before we left poor kitty did P#5 in crate on the way home :sad: Fortunately the Brawny Man was in the crate so only back legs got wet.
This is getting to be a habit with him so I'm not sure if he's mad at me too :twisted:
The meter comparison was kinda funny. Vet did Alpha trac 1st and said 190 :o "at this time of the day" I'm thinking "somethings not right with that reading." Then ok '"wow that's awesome!!" Relion Confirm 596 and Freestyle 392. Vet says let me check ours again. He does 2 more tests both between 400-500 didn't say exactly but told me to use the Freestyle. Then he said I should always do 3 checks each time I test him :shock: $$$$ Just for curves this weekend that would be 66 strips! Oh well I guess he didn't remember I was the testing maniac :lol:

Hey Kathy, 3 tests every time you test Powder???!!! What would that prove? You can get different results with the same meter in closely consecutive tests. IMHO you'll drive yourself crazy and use up an awful lot of strips to boot!!
Anyway, glad to hear he's feeling better and gaining weight. That's great!

Ella guess you missed the irony there :lol: The vet said that and exactly, it would prove nothing except to make me broke and Powder wouldn't have his new bed :lol: Thanks it's so good that he's going to be less bony :-D

Wow Ella that is incredible. You are such a trooper. :-D Besides the rain it must have been raw this time of the year. Bet the scenery was neat though. Hope you saw some animals. Are the leaves past their peak? If they aren't it must have been beautiful :!:

It figures the vet would say go with the meter w/ the expensive strips. I get strips for my Contour on Amazon, Ebay, or from Hocks.

my alphatrak is always somewhat close to my freestyle reading Kathy always higher but I like having it on board if I want to compare funny how many vets uses the alphatrak my vet has never heard of it go figure. Glad you are at least settled on a meter now JMO I think testing 3x is a bit much unless you are worried about the number at the time and want a recheck but anyway nice pmps for Powder today

Lisa you have that right. Can you imagine not only the cost but poor kitty. Like I said he obviously didn't remember the SS with the catzillion blood tests on it. :lol: :lol: I can tell you Powder wasn't impressed by that and even less impressed with that leg blood draw cat(2)_steam
