Not much to report here today...Ms P is doing her thang. Appy remains awesome (anti-jinx!!!), snuggles remain in overdrive, gelcaps have been "holes in one" (also anti-jinx!!). Kitties are thrilled that the heat is on and are all spending their days huddled around (or on top of) heating vents. Their summertime habits VS wintertime habits are so interesting to observe, as they are very consistent from year to year!
Zen woke up at about 3:15am and acted like he heard something outside the bedroom - so, of course I had to investigate. It was 2 hours till breffis, but Miss Trix heard me get up and out of all 5 kitties, she was the only one who started the morning routine - she was ready for pre-breffis snuggles and fuds  ! Even though her appy has been great for a while now, it was still awesome to see her excited about breffis 2 hours ahead of schedule like that. I was very tempted to give her a little snack before I headed BTB, but I knew that would open up a huge can of works with the whole herd (who was still sleepy-headed and in their various sleeping spots) and it would have thrown everyone/everything off for the morning, so I refrained.
No big news with my Dad, either. It seems like he didn't get the flu-like symptoms too badly from the flu shot this time. I've never gotten the shot myself. I've had the flu once (at least I think it was the flu), and while it wasn't pleasant, the reason(s) I'm a skeptic about the shot is because over-vaccination scares me (what are all these repeated vaccines doing to our immune system?), and they are taking a stab in the dark about the strain so it's not guaranteed to be effective, and the media-fueled panic that is created every year really makes me wonder - is it real, or is it Big Pharma looking for some easy money? Yeah, I'm a little cynical sometimes! My Dad is the same way, but this year is a little different, what with the chemo. He got the shot to calm my mother down about it. Even though I'm skeptical for myself, I understand why others get the vaccine.
Anyway....have a great day, LL!
