10/23 Tiger new libre 3+

Hi all, Tiger still has had numbers overall with those unpredictable fast drops. We upped his dose to a fat 1.5 yesterday and he responded but then bounced up last night. Same old thing….

we went to CVS for our flu and covid shots Monday and talked to the pharmacist about the libres. She told us there’s nothing new with the 3s but the 3+ are now in stock. So we immediately got our vet to call in a prescription and they are now ready for pick up. I’ll let you know if there is any difference in cost when we pick them up. What a relief to know we can finally get them locally!

so happy to hear the 3+ is in stock! I am sure that was such a big worry. In Germany the 3+ costs a little more, you pay the one day extra but in the US it might be different. I will never understand this coupon thing.

Sorry, it is so hard to find the right dose. Think it might be worth to ask our experts?

I would have gone to a full 1.75 units. Lately 1.5 units wasn't taking anywhere near under 150, much less to 90-149 which is the desired nadir range.

Glad to hear the Libre availability issue seems to have passed.

We picked them up yesterday and yes there is a price difference! $25 more than the libre 3! Way too much. I won’t know if they are any better for a while as they expire further out than the 3s I have.
I don’t think the price difference will be worth it. I hope the 3s get off backorder before we need more.

Thanks Wendy but 1.75 was making him go way low everytime we’ve tried it. With my medical issues lately I’m not always available to monitor him like I usually can so hesitant to try it right now.

What are you paying per sensor?
My regular pharmacy told me they won’t be able to get the 3 anymore since the 3+ is now here.

It was $25 higher for each one! They were $75 each. They are just getting too expensive. Especially when some go bad so quick.
