I know lantus likes a consistant dose, I was concerned that a new bottle had a stronger effect than the toasty old bottle. Methinks that the new bottle and old bottle might have the same effectiveness, but going to stick to new bottle.

Thanks for the encouragement, and I was glad to help kitty through the night.

I am thinking of going back to the 3.5 units with the new bottle, any thoughts guys?

I think you need to pick a dose and hold onto it for at least a few days. Which dose to use is up to you but stay with it for at least 3 days unless you get numbers that are too low. I think the 3.5 was looking pretty good with the old juice but it's hard to say whether the new insulin will be better. It might take a few days for the shed to fill with the good stuff so keep grabbing spot checks whenever you can.
