10/2**Harley AMPS 425

[Harley and Pattie]

I have not posted for a day because Harley has had a run of lows and then bounces into the 400's. Truth be told - I am afraid someone will suggest another hike in insulin and that kinda makes me nervous. It seems like around +7 is when he is either low or has been low prior to that time and now is in the bounce. I am only feeding LC with exception of MC snacks. This I have also changed to LC. He is right now screaming for food and he already has had a can of FF. He is getting rather roly poly with all this extra food.

I have not gone back to the auto feeder since it made him jump. I may try freezing food and trying it again.

I want to put a plug in for getting the IAA testing done. It's really looking like Harley may be an IAA kitty and the only way to break through the insulin resistance is more insulin -- and you need to be pretty aggressive about dose increases. It's just a thought but knowing if this is what's happening, may give you some peace of mind.

Oh, I forgot to tell people that I do have that scheduled after much threatening of my vet (I had to threaten that I would need to find a new vet that would do the test for me). I may change it though. It is scheduled for 4:30 on Friday and they close at 5:00. I (some how) feel that they won't follow thru with sending stuff being that late on Friday. I will be calling and changing it to earlier in the week - mid October.
