Yesterday (or, earlier today....)
Hah hah, early (or late, it's late Friday night for me because I don't consider the day changed until I go to bed) condo today because we have had a day's worth of excitement already
Crowley spent his whole last PM cycle going down, and at his AMPS, he was at 53 which made me REAL nervous!! He was also ravenous; when I was putting the food in the feeder, I had to (gently) shove him back away from the feeder, which is something I haven't had to do since we started insulin. Which was good because I wasn't worried about getting carbs into him.
Once he was done chowing down (and gods he was STARVING you would think I did not feed him all day), I pulled him up into my lap to give him some karo syrup. 53 and the fact he spent all day falling despite eating well really worried me, and I figured I wanted my first time administering karo to be when he wasn't in the MIDDLE of a crisis and having symptoms. I do think I want to get a feeding syringe because he did NOT like the karo lol.
I figure I will test again at +4 and as long as his +4 is good, I'll feel safe to go to bed. But I am so grateful that Crowley loves to hang out with me, because it made it easy to monitor him for any symptoms of a hypo. rn he's sleeping in his little cat tree.
So we're back at 1u again. I am wondering if, assuming it doesn't work out (AGAIN), I can try bumping up by a smaller amount? I'm dosing with calipers to allow fine dosing, so maybe 1.15u? Because right now it feels like we're bouncing between 1u and 1.25u, and I want to take the full reduction right now obviously, but just something I'm thinking about for the future.
ANYWAYS THANK YOU FOR READING MY NOVEL I HAVE NEVER BEEN A CONCISE WOMAN.
