For today, I proudly offer Elsa's special 10 hour energy coffee, and Double shot espressos, with beans from deep within the mountain slopes of Africa, AND.... for all my Mocha fans: a VENTI Quad cherry infused white mocha/mocha blend with white chocolate chips melted within, topped with a cherry whip garnished with candied cherry sprinkles and white chocolate curls. SWEET! OH! No worries, a dollop of cheery cherry and chocolate swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, topped with crystallized cheery cherries and chocolate drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts are along for the ride! AND!!!! The CHEERY CHERRY CHEESECAKE has been so popular that it is now part of the cheery cherry Monday line-up! YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM! I love cheery cherry Mondays.
I hope everyone had a great weekend, and a good Sunday yesterday. I went hiking, the weather in the chosen area was just too good to pass up. We are due for some great weather, sun and 65, all of which started yesterday. so..... off I went, in search of fall color, larches, blue skies and some outstanding creeks. What a great day it was, I was blessed with all things sought. Here is what I wrote in last nights post: "Hi everyone! I hope your Sunday has been a good one. I did make it out to go hiking, over near Leavenworth. What an outstanding day to be outdoors. Tons of fall color, larches, and a very pretty creek. Weather here was much the norm - all that fog and clouds in the morning, burned off in time for make for a great afternoon. Sure was foggy on HWY 2 today - that didn't clear until I was up near Stevens pass. It was however, a gorgeous day east of the pass. Sunny and nice in Leavenworth. Sunny and cold on the trail. It was reported to b be 31 I think. Good thing I layered up. LOL. It was a gorgeous hike today. It was an easy one, but nice. I think I did 6.5 miles, GPS said I climbed 1068 feet, though I'm not too sure where that was... trail is more or less flat, with some climbing. Oh well no matter. I had a blast while out there. I went for fall color, larches and some awesome creeks. I was fortunate today, and got all three. The colors this year are outstanding: vivid reds, intense yellows, warm oranges... and very prolific. The larches were just starting to turn yellow, but wow: very nice! and the creek? well Icicle Creek just never disappoints. This was great: Along the trail there is a section where folks have built several cairns. When I was here a few months ago, there were maybe 10 or so. Now there are dozens upon dozens, all of the outstanding, all so unique. The overall impression is quite nothing short of amazing. Found some larches too - yaHOO! all in all - fantastic day there. The drive over was very nice too alot of fall color this year, and it is all so vibrant. really great color, and alot of reds too. Very nice time." Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
BUT!!!! I am in DEEP SERIOUS TROUBLE. yes... once again I WAS LATE! 5 whole minutes late, and they cut me no slack     They were not happy. Elsa was staring at me, with that postire that said: SERIOUSLY? Five minutes????" and I swear I saw those squinty eyes that Mannie sued to do all the time when I was late... darn scary those squinty eyes. Bug as pacing, back and forth... back and forth... back and forth... he too as not pleased. And Lola? silly girl was still rolling on the stairs, down the stairs this time, on purpose I think so that she could swat at me as she ran back up them, just to roll down again.... Sheshhhhhh! Then out came the blood oath. and I'm thinking.... "seriously? for a five minute tardiness?" Guess so... Never ever mess with the Three Musketeers!  Funny thing was, as soon as I started up the stairs they threw the blood oath about my being late, never ever, and went an assumed the positions in the kitchen. So began the loudest kitty choir I have ever heard! All that for five minutes. But I guess they really were hungry..... Sorry guys! Normalcy in MusketeerVille for sure!
Have a great day everyone. Nicholas and William are with me again today, all five days this week. @-) I-) This is my last week of having them all five days. Today Nicholas will go to the pool, and William will spend that time with my DMIL. YAY!
