10/10 Tinker AMPS 104 +2 76 +4 94 +6 128 PMPS 148

Laura:

II just started to type out a note suggesting you get some early tests when you posted the 76 at +2. Good thinking to get that early test.

I'd suggest giving Tinker a bit of low carb food to keep him surfing in those green numbers. I'd also suggest testing at +2.5 or certainly no later than +3.

I also want to strongly encourage/beg you to start getting before bed tests. You really need data from the PM cycle. You could easily be missing reductions.

I will try to always get a +2 at night. I have been shooting him at 8 and 8 and I go to bed usually at 10pm or 10:30. Hopefully that will be OK?

It's the best way to know which way Tinker is headed in the evening. If you see she's fallen over 50 points since the injection, then you'll want to test again - yes, I know...we all want to go to bed and get some rest...but night time can be tricky for these kitties. They seem to think it's a great time to go for a swim in the lagoon. Tinker had a nice looking day today - hope you can get some additional tests to fill in the blanks.

Have a great evening Laura!

Staying at 0.5 for now. I ran out of test strips! I have one left for morning and then they are supposed to arrive via Amazon. Thought they were coming today :nailbiting:

Not knowing what your schedule may permit, you may want to consider what time you're shooting. Getting a +2 during the PM cycle is ok but it's early in relation to nadir. My kitty had an early onset and nadir which made getting early tests critical. It also meant I adjusted my shot time to 5:00 (AM and PM) which allowed me to get several early test before I left for work and gave me some time in the evening to keep an eye on Gabby's numbers, intervene if needed, and get some sleep.

You may want to purchase a back up kit - a meter and matching strips to keep for just such an emergency. You don't want to be caught short of strips in the middle of a snowstorm, late at night...no strips = no insulin for Tinker.
