10/06 Tabby AMPS 86, +4 90;

Tabby escaped from my house through my room window. I can't find her anywhere now, won't be able to update anything for now until I managed to find her. Am guessing she most probably hiding somewhere and will only come out again when she's hungry.

Oh no. Isn't it late at night? So she is outdoors? Does she go out often?

Yup, it now 11pm here. Yes, she ran out from my house as the window are not locked properly. Nope, since the day I brought her back home, I have been keeping her indoors only.

However, I supposed she is still very used to being an outdoor cat so she always tried to make an escape. She's a stray cat that I have been feeding around my area for the past 6 years and has always been an outdoor cat. I only brought her home the day I brought her to the vet and keep her home since she's diagnosed with diabetes. (So about almost 3 months)

She most probably will avoid me for a few days, now that she managed to escape from the prison. So I'm not sure if I'm able to find her within a short period. I will be going down to feed the other stray cats in a while. Hoping that she will appear so I can catch her back again.

:arghh: Feeling pretty upset and worried now, but I know she most probably won't come out for a while. If I escaped from the prison, I won't come out unless I'm really desperate.

Nope, totally no sign of her at all when I went searching again this morning. Will go down and search for her again in the evening they usually don't come out in the noon. Hopefully she will be out by today :blackeye:
Is there a chance she will eat high carb cat food fed by others?

Yes, and there's no way I can stop it.
Yeah, I know. :( The problem is that feeding higher carb food can get her to fall out of remission. I didn't realize she was an outdoor/feral/stray/street cat. How did you even realize something was wrong with her that you took her to the vet and got a diabetes diagnosis?

Ya, that was what I'm worried about too. But for now, my main concern will be to catch her back first. Heavy rain here last night, so am more worried about her safety. At most, we will just have to restart the whole insulin procedure again.

She was eating and drinking more but at the same time losing a lot of weight. So that's what prompted me that she needs a vet visit. I actually didn't want to keep another cat as I already have 3 at home. But looking at her situation, I can't leave her downstairs as I know she will die if I do so.

@Bandit's Mom, I just caught her!!! Had to give her some low carbs food to lure her out. Will test her BG tmr morning as I just gave her food. Finally I can sleep tonight!
