Our last shot of insulin was on March 29th. My girl is happy as can be with more energy and sassiness than ever. She has been showing fabulous numbers when we test, with only one barely blue since the end of trial.

This weekend will be our first trip away from home overnight since we started all this back at Christmas time. Our fabulous pet sitter came over last night to get the low down on the new feeders and feeding schedule and she couldn't get over how good Smokey looked and how social and outgoing she is now. She was always my hider when other people are in the house and sometimes we'd even get a call when the sitters didn't see her for the first couple of days. Last night she came right out and was looking for attention (and food of course).

We are just so blessed to have our girl healthy again. All three of our girls seem healthier and happier on their new diet.

What a GREAT report! SO happy that Smokey is giving you great numbers with each test you do...isn't that wonderful!!!
You must be so happy to think that the pet sitter will find a congenial little girl when she comes over...that sounds as if she is very happy in her newfound healthy numbers! GREAT job!!! So happy for you ...hope you enjoy your trip!!
 
Wow, great news about Smokey! I'm glad to hear she's doing so well! The change in Max with the canned diet, and now being in his OTJ trial is incredible as well. He seems stronger than ever and is playing like he did when he was a kitten. :-D

What a wonderful report on Smokey! You've done a great job with your kitty and it sounds like the rest of your crew are happy and healthy, as well.
 
Hi Melanie and Smokey, how awesome that you get to take an overnight trip! My hubby and I are keeping our paws crossed that we get to do that soon too!!!! It is funny that you say about the changes in Smokey because Scrabble is the same too. He has as much energy as he did when he was a kitten! So happy to hear you guys are doing well!!!! Enjoy going away!!!

I can't believe it is 1 month already.
That just reminded me that it is going to be 1 month for Max soon.
I am so happy to hear how well Smokey is.
