Cross posting from the acro forum, just trying to get some advice.
I FINALLY got Tigger's cabergoline and got it started after USPS lost it for a month. Anyway, we are debating on an emergency vet visit. He has been on it for a week. At dinner tonight, he was acting completely normal. Then, while eating, he explosively vomited. Went right downstairs, got in the box and tried to pee. Got out, meowed loudly, vomited again and kept getting in and out of the box, dribbling. Now he's acting mostly normal, came running for treats. I am trying to decide if we can wait until morning and go to the regular vet. I've already spent so much money already, I'm not sure what to do. I would much rather wait until morning to go to the regular vet but will take him immediately if necessary. Has anyone noticed any side effects with cabergoline like this? I'm so worried this is my fault and I did this to him by giving him the medication.
Could it just have been a fluke? Nothing to worry about?
He is getting 0.4ml of 200mcg/ml. I started out at every other day based on the recommendation of my vet, so he has had 5 doses so far. I am in the process of updating my spreadsheet for the year but no unusual numbers.
I have been under so much stress lately at work (I am a nurse) and I also received some bad health news and have been dealing with managing that. I had a literal break down tonight and I just don't know what to do. He's been doing better with his numbers and his symptoms haven't been too bad. This is the last thing I need
