Yesterday's Late Night Condo (I know - how is this different than every other day?)

I can't believe it's Elvis' 80th birthday! Where has the time gone?

I was so hopeful we were headed back to the lagoon today, but Cinco appears to have made a u-turn. He just doesn't want me to get too comfortable with where he's headed, I guess. As long as he's happy and eating well, I'm not going to stress about it.

Minka ate her breakfast with enthusiasm this morning - before she got her Ond and Pepcid, too! :) It always takes two or three days for the effects of the chemo to kick in, so I'm going to enjoy this while it lasts.

I spoke to the current IM resident at UCD about Harvey this morning, and she is going to get the ball rolling for his biopsy. She thinks it fell through the cracks with the holidays and Dr. Bonadio going off clinic rotation. I spent two hours filling out the paperwork for the Nutrition department, and my head was spinning, so I was delighted when she agreed to hold off on that until after the biopsy.

Sasha's appy is still a little off, but her her Hypo treats really help in getting her to finish her meal. I gave her some Ondansetron and Pepcid again today. She's otherwise fine - the Forti Flora took care of the diarrhea quickly (or it cleared up on its own - who knows?).

Same class of drug? Really? My understanding was that Cypro was an antihistamine and mirtz was an anti-depressant!
@Ann & Tess, I may have misunderstood what the Oncologist said about Cypro and Mirtz. I will ask for clarification next Wednesday.

Sending healing vines to all in need and hugs to all their beans. :bighug: Prayers ongoing for Amy's DF, Lyresa's DF, Lisa's DF and Elise's DM.

Ann you are correct about cyproheptadine and mirt. Also cypro is the anecdote for serratonin syndrome thatcan result from taking mirt.

A nice. easy day for Cinco today....not too high, not too low...absolutely nuthin' to fuss-n-fret over when you have a happy hungry boy!

I'm glad Minka ate well today! My Dad s the same way...the appy crashes about 3-4 days after treatment; before and after, he tries to consume as many calories as possible. Sending along a few appy vines for Sasha, too. Have a great evening, Tricia!

Wow, a Cinco condo during the day. That's getting pretty rare. Those blues aren't bad for Cinco. You're right. What is important is he's feeling good. Furball's bouncing can drive me crazy, but then I remind myself she's feeling good and that's what is important.

Yay for Minka eating good. I hope Sasha's appy gets better and everything goes well with Harvey's biopsy.

I don't mind the cold weather. I love winter. When I got home, it had warmed up to 19F and it didn't feel that cold.

Hey Cinco...you're going the wrong direction buddy!!...typical man....won't stop to ask for directions ~ China

Great to hear the crew is eating better for you too! What are the hypo treats that Sasha loves so much?

How many more treatments for Minka? Seems like she should be about done soon

Thanks for visiting us, Elise, Ann, Amy, Carla and Chris.

Yeah, I know @carfurby . It's a miracle! On the days when I don't have to go to Sac or somewhere for appointments, it's much easier to find time to sit down at the computer and do a condo. Those days have been few and far between lately, but maybe we'll have a few more of them now. I love the colder weather, too. Much prefer it to hot!

@Chris & China , the treats are Hill's Prescription Diet Hypo-Treats. They gave them to me at UCD. It says on the label they are "Formulated for cats with adverse reactions to food". They are very high in carbs, so not good for FD kitties. None of the other cats like them (Cinco hasn't gotten the opportunity to find out). Sasha will eat them when she won't eat anything else, so I'll plant a couple in her food when she thinks she's done eating and it gets her going again. Minka has another 11 sessions of chemo to go, I believe. They do four weeks and then a week off, so it lasts almost 6 months!

I've been missing your condos Tricia- glad to hear Cinco is doing well. That was exciting news for Minka- chemo can produce some amazing results, I hope her appetite continues to improve and the same for Sasha and Harvy. Hope you are doing okay yourself, you do amazing work for your furbabies!

@MollynSkooter, you are up way too late! NO snacking now - back to bed with you! But thanks for the pep talk.

@Wendy&Neko, Cinco is a good boy. Except when he throws a green number right before I have to leave for several hours. But he's just so darn cute when he's sleeping that all is forgiven. ;)
