Haha! Gotta love a food-motivated cat! He's loving the extra noms and is camped out on the food buffet...... got that boy a new BIG bag of Bonita flakes.![]()

Still want to get him a cute little patch, tee hee.Cute new mug shot too
+10 - 88 He came up without anymore food at + 9.25. This is the time he usually goes up before he comes down. Will today give him a reduction even though it was only 51?Ok, great!
I'd retest at +10. Be sure to give Bubba a treat for being such a good boy.
okay, I'll get a +11 too. Hey why not? We have every hour today, lol.Sometimes it takes almost an hour to see the full effects from the food. We don't have enough data yet to know if that's the case or if Bubba is simply changing things up on us. I think getting a +11 would be a good idea today. Let's see if he continues to rise or dips again.
As far as a reduction goes... Libby and I have touched on the subject (especially because he usually drops lower at night), but would like to see how the rest of the cycle goes before making any recommendations.
I haven't pulled out the gravy food yet..... he will love that!awwwwww... he sure doesn't look too stressed. I guess he's enjoying the yummy food. I used to think Jazzy dropped low on purpose so she could have gravy food.
I think after today, Bubba will have that figured out also.Awww such a pair of cuties, I think George has figured out Low BG= extra fuds![]()
Sure. Let's see if it'll get him to surf into PMPS.Thinking I will give him a tbsp. of LC to keep him up so I can shoot?
Reduction sounds good. I did prop him again @+11 with the 64 he threw. If he is lower than 50, then no shoot, correct? Gotta get some more strips down to 40 and panicingI think we're going to have to take a reduction, don't you?
He hit 51 fairly early in the cycle (for him). He did bump up easily with food, which is great because you know you can easily keep him safe, and you didn't even have to use gravy. But since he tends to drop more at night than during the day, a reduction is the way to go. I would shoot 4.75 units tonight, as long as he's shootable at that time. You'll want to monitor tonight too unless he starts to bounce. Tonight's cycle will still carry some effect from today's 5 unit dose, thanks to our friend the insulin depot, so he might still surf low tonight.
If he does bounce, don't worry, he has been clearing bounces pretty quickly lately so he'll be fine.
I won't be home at your PMPS either, but I should be where I can check in on my phone if you have questions.
Okay Thanks Wendy. Hoping he is 50 and higher and we will go for it. Lower than that and I will need guidance. If you want help with what to do at shot time, change your subject title to 1/6 Bubba +12 xx - shoot? or something like that. That will let people know you need help making the decision on what to do.
Be good Bubba, a little higher to make it safe.
30 minute from now or 5:15 PM ESTHow long until test time? I'll try to make a point to peek in then.
Loving all the love y'all are giving us!!thanks Wendy! I'll have to leave shortly before that but will check in when I can, not because you need help but because I'm excited to see what Bubba has planned.

Thank you! It has been a full time job today!Congratulations on the reduction, that has been quite a cycle for you and Bubba, well done the both of you![]()
Sounds good. That LC may have boosted him up a little bit, but I think some of that rise is Bubba on his own.[/QUOTE
I think you are right, this Am he had a 30 point hike and that was with 4.5 oz of food.
Guess the bounce will start......that will enable me to get to Walmart and get more strips. You also fed .75 oz LC (I presume the same stuff) at a couple of points mid cycle today and he just got a small rise from it.
If I can get him a patch, we are going to rename him: Redbeard the Pirate, ARRRRRR just got a +1- 167 and looks like he is going to on the trampoline with Smokey and Rupert.Wow, look at him! Those numbers and his new pic. He's just rockin it all.
If you get him that patch. He will be Pirate Bubba! ARRRRR
Love the picture of Forest and Bubba, awww...how cute is that! That is great!!! Orange cat and all!!!!!ARRRRRR don't stay on the trampoline too long Bubba![]()
Good idea!Personally I'd get another test in around +3/ +4...he did have a lot of food (well kind of) toward the end of the cycle which could've caused the big +1 spike. He might come on back down in a few hours.
Sthat's not bad at all. He's usually going up at this time, so it's too early to say if he's bouncing or not. Probably a little bit, but I doubt it will last long. I definitely think you can give Bubba a break until bedtime, though. That's around +4 usually, right?
Nice job today. Your instincts were right on regarding what to feed when.
That is great!!! Orange cat and all!!!!!
We were so lost before we found out that his nadir is at the end of the cycle. Slowly and surely we are getting there. Rupert is doing better on Levemir also.Looks like you are finally getting there Bobbie! Remember back in PZI land, you were wondering if it would ever happen. You did it! Well done!![]()
Love the picture of Forest and Bubba, awww...how cute is that!
And, I thank my lucky stars that the Ketone Busters Jill and Libby are helping us!We were so lost before we found out that his nadir is at the end of the cycle. Slowly and surely we are getting there. Rupert is doing better on Levemir also.

My sentiments exactly, Bobbie. Very nice work. You really do have good instincts with Bubba.Nice job today. Your instincts were right on regarding what to feed when.
Thanks Ladies! Just got his +4 and he is at 245. Gave him a snack anyway... because he deserved it. Mama bean is going to bed and we shall see what the little pirate does tomorrow. Enjoy your daughter and grandson. My sentiments exactly, Bobbie. Very nice work. You really do have good instincts with Bubba.
Like Libby, I don't think this bounce will last long at all.
Good things happening here... lots of progress being made.![]()
