Hello everyone!

Looks like Indy is deciding to maybe go a little lower today.....yesterday was all blue. See if we get some green today.

Indy has a cough every once in awhile. It doesn't cough up anything, sneeze or seem otherwise uncomfortable. It is something we have been keeping an eye on. I noticed that Indy's cough disappeared when he was on the Cerenia...so I messaged the vet to ask about it. Apparently they are now using Cerenia as a cough suppressant....so that's cool! Yay for learning new things!

Hope everyone has a safe surf today! <3 <3

Well Indy has decided to make it exciting today. It is +3 and he has been in the low 50s for the the last 45 minutes. He dipped down to 46 for a brief moment and then went right back up. Hubby is home with him but has never done a successful ear prick....

Thanks for the stress Indy.....

He is due for his 6 month senior exam next month, so figured we can have his vet look at him then. He already goes in twice a month for his sensor swap outs....so don't want to stress him out even more.
Have you guys thought of putting the sensors on yourself?
I do it by myself. So if both of you are there, it may be pretty easy.
Maybe it would save the stress of going there for him.

Well he *has* to go once every 4 weeks for his solensia shot (for his arthritis) but we could maybe eliminate one of the visits a month....
Well, that is better than nothing. And if you get comfortable, then if one fails, youโ€™re ready to handle it without a crisis (that was one of my main motivations in forcing myself to learn how to do it).
And believe me, Iโ€™ve changed out a Libre at midnight, and 2 am more than Iโ€™d like to admit ๐Ÿ˜ซ

But Iโ€™m thankful Iโ€™m ready to go if I need to. And Ivy is less stressed at home any day.
Just a suggestion ๐Ÿ˜˜

I know it was a little stressful for a bit there, but that is a rather lovely cycle. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™

Being able to swap out the Libre at home is a godsend for me, even though doing it by myself is a bit stressful. With two of you, I'll bet it'd be pretty easy for you and for Indy! If you've never done it before, it's also just a great idea to know how in case you need to (because a sensor fails early/falls off etc). Er, and sorry if I'm misremembering and you have done it before. My brain is a bit scrambled. ๐Ÿ˜…

Thanks everyone. Will talk to the vet when we take him next month. His appt tomorrow is just a sensor swap....but I want to know how to do the sensor first. In 2 weeks it is Solensia...which has to be on a Friday and our vet doesn't work Friday afternoons. So, was going to try and do his senior appt 2 weeks later since we can swap the sensor a day early, do his appt and have them show us how to swap the sensor.

I'm so proud of Indy he was in the green more than the blue today! <3 <3

Just tell them youโ€™d like to watch the process so you are prepared in case it fails when they are closed and you want to have the knowledge.
And then watch videos online (Facebook group and you tube has videos).

You can do it! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’•
