THANK YOU to everyone who read Buddy's/Jack's/Sable's stories yesterday and commented. You all are what keeps me sane in this chaos of cat care. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

Still doing the 7.5 units for Jack; need to update the SS with today's numbers and his bloodwork. Jack refused most of the wet food offerings this morning and pretty much ate some LC kibble and about 15 pieces of CD kibble :banghead: After the morning meetings he is getting a preemptive dose of cerenia and famotadine. We CANNOT go back to kibble. CAN NOT.

We are having 'surprise' snow at the moment, so today's schedule is a mess. Was supposed to be out and working at the office this morning, guess that's not happening. I hate winter. Hope all the kitties surf safely today! Sending love and hugs to all....:bighug::bighug:

Oh Jack, oh Jack… the kibble monster :rolleyes:

I KNOW you’ve tried it all, but when Kona acts up, a very thin layer of powered freeze dried chicken breast spread all over the top of the wet food works for her. Sometimes she comes back to me demanding I add another sprinkle.

Another trick that works is moving her to a new room and just closing the door. Shes not distracted by her sister and she doesn’t think I’m being n the kitchen working on better things she likes to eat. :rolleyes: I then watch her on the webcam and I can see her taking a lick… walking away, looking at the door waiting for me, then finally realizing she’s not going to get her way and submits because she’s hungry.

Again, I know you’ve tried it all… :bighug::bighug::bighug:

Forgot to note, Kona sometimes gets intimidated by a full plate of food. I think it might have to do with her expectations of the 1 teaspoon of higher carb gravy types foods she sometimes gets for low BG and loves.

When she doesn’t want to eat her low carb food, I give her small portions of it, wait, and give her more of until she gets her normal 3-4oz meal.

It’s a pain in the ass to play those games, but that also works… almost like she thinks “fiiine, I’ll eat this LC crap now, but that next teaspoon better be the good stuff”

Hi Christine,

I read your post from yesterday and I'm sorry to learn about Buddy. He looks like such a sweet and gentle soul. I hope his journey over the rainbow bridge was peaceful and I trust he's reunited with grandma.
Fly high Buddy :rb_icon:

I'm sending lots and lots PAWsitive vibes your way for Jack and Sable!:bighug::bighug::bighug:

You're such a wonderful mama to all your kitties.

I also hate winter and everything that comes with it. I keep telling myself 2 more months, 2 more moths and hopefully spring starts. Although I live in Toronto so who knows. But that's just to keep myself sane.

Thanks for checking on us the other day. I saw your post but was at work and sometimes after a long day of flying I forget to respond.

Have a nice and safe day and stay warm :cat::cat:
