Yesterday's condo

 Back in pink, but just barely. Hope she'll come down further today than she did yesterday. Think Blue! :RAHCAT Think Blue!

Very happy that Tess ate nearly a full can of food yesterday and very good appetite this Morning. She's drinking 1/2 to 2/3 cups of water a day as well as added water in her food.

:?: Weird question, do you store the cartridge back in the box? I don't like taking the entire package out every time, but not sure how to protect the single cartridge.

Re: 1/27 Tess AMPS 307

We haven't started our (free--yay!) cartridges yet, but we wrap our vial in a sheet of poly-foam, with a small strip left open for viewing the contents, and store it in its box. Then if it falls, all that will happen is one of us will have a heart attack, but the Lantus will be safe. I don't even know if that makes sense with the cartridges, though.

Re: 1/27 Tess AMPS 307

i save those plastic pill bottles you get at the pharmacy. wrap the cartridge or line the inside of the bottle with bubble wrap or thin styrofoam so if it drops the cartridge stays safe. i do have a few foam liners from hocks.com to protect the cartridges or vials but they don't always fit right so bubble wrap is more useful.

Re: 1/27 Tess AMPS 307

+3 is 259 at lest she's back in the yellow. Will test again at +7.

I want to be sure to keep the tip uncontaminated so I have it wrapped in a clean paper towel. Is there a problem standing it upright on the white plastic mechanism end? Any chance of it releasing the insulin form the pressure?

I've seen references to the 5 p's to look for. Not sure exactly what they are.: purr, play, preen, pee and poop?

Re: 1/27 Tess AMPS 307

I had the naked cartridges and just kept them in the plastic sleeve. I'm using a solostar pen now and like the protection that the pen casing provided.

And yes -- you have the 5 Ps correctly listed!!

How was the rest of Tess' day?

Recap AMPS 307, +3~259, +8~290, PMPS~212

Just fed her and am getting ready to shoot.

Pretty quiet day altogether, ate when it was offered, but was pretty lazy.

Plastic sleeve?

here we go! getting back to nicer numbers. :)
i dont put a top on my cartridge. just let it sit upright in my fridge in a pill bottle with the top uncovered.
if the pill bottle is tall enuf i can use the top, tho. i keep the bottle on a shelf away from the walls of the fridge and from other stuff so it doesn't get touched when something else is removed.
