Max is doing fine. I’m leaving him where he is on his insulin dose right now. I’m still recovering but gradually getting better. This illness has really taken my energy. I haven’t been able to monitor him that well at night and think he might have bounced a couple of nights. Anyway I’m leaving him with what I can be comfortable with right now. @Wendy&Neko would you recommend increasing Max to 9 units now? I’ve had a better day today and will increase tomorrow morning if you recommend it. I probably should have already increased but it’s taken me a while to feel like myself again. Just making sure you recommend the increase where he is now. Also he will start the Budesonide tomorrow. I’m not sure what the best time to give the Budesonide would be. Thanks for your help as always!
 
If you are up for it, you can increase now. As for budesonide, it's sort of ECID. I can't remember what time I gave it to Neko - but it went in a gel cap with a bunch of other either AM or PM post meal meds, until I got the compounded liquid. As I said, it didn't impact her numbers, so timing didn't matter anyway.
 
Oh no, I have missed a couple of your condos, I am so sorry you got sick Healing vibes being sent :bighug::bighug::bighug: Yes to making sure you are up to the rigorous testing and such but you do have to make sure to take care of yourself since you are the only caregiver here. (I was in the same boat so I know) Hope all goes well with the Budesonide tomorrow!

Thanks so much! UPS delivered the Budesonide this evening so I went ahead and gave him one tonight. I really really hope and pray this helps him and doesn’t make his BG go way up. His diarrhea resolved about a week ago but now he’s struggling with some constipation on and off and also vomiting early in the mornings. I’m really hoping this helps him. Thanks again.
 
Lori, you are doing such an amazing job, I can't imagine being able to keep up with things like you have been while being utterly drained. Hope the Budesonide helps for Max. Take care of you :bighug:

Thank you Christie! I’m trying my best! This covid has kicked my butt for sure though. I hope I never get that sick again. Max is such a good kitty though, he deserves the best I can give him. Thank you again!
