Sorry about the last post, I meant to type TLC , don't know where that typo came from. In my defense DH got me up at 5:00 ohmygod_smile am so I thought why not test Shouldn't have bee trying to type at that hour. ED: or this one apparently

AMPS is 421, to be expected I guess, but I never did like red.

Tess as been looking for breakfast, and ate pretty much all of it. Wellness Chicken, we've got a few cans opn and are varying them so she will stay interested in eating. We're (DH actually) are weighing out the food too so we can keep track of just how much she eats. She dosen't like wet food that has been sitting out.

She's come down a bit. She is usually slow onset.

Tess ate 1.5 to 2 oz. of food this morning. I'm trying to figure out just how much she should be eating and the timing of meals. She doesn't eat a lot atone sitting and I want to space them out, but I also don't want the feedings to effect the BG results.

Cruising pretty high today +3~346, +6~311, +8~371 usually +8 is her nadir,but she's going up already. Maybe because she ate more than she has been, though still less than she should I think.

nah, i'm pretty sure it's rebound from the low number. remember it took a while to bring the number up even with food. i'd expect a couple of days to recover from that, then she'll be doing great again.

Down to 318 at PMPS. It was going down but still high enough I felt confident shooting and Tess did eat a full oz, of dinner, hopefully a little more after a break. She was really ready for dinner since her shot time has slipped back so far. We ate earlier and we got the pathetic, starving kitty routine.

I think she should be eating at least 4 to 5 oz. a day. I know with Vetsulin they advised a second meal about 1/5 to 2 hours after the shot. Same for Lantus? How much will eating throughout the day effect the BF readings?

because vetsulin usually has big drops right away, having food on board is critical. not the same thing for lantus or pzi.

i've found with lantus it's better to feed small meals often. depends on your schedule, tho.

some people freeze some cat food and leave those catfood icecubes out with regular food when they leave for work and go to bed, so kitty can have a snack later when they thaw out.

all my cats eat about 6 oz a day, and they range from 7 to 16 lbs. they free feed, which in our house means when they come ask me for food they get a spoonful (about 1/3 FF can). cleo gets about 1/2 FF can at shot time.

Thanks. Tess isn't asking for food except in the morning when she can't have it until her shot, which is much later than she would like, She ate most of a 5.5 can of Wellness today. We've been having trouble getting her to eat even that much. Maybe it's just that she is still getting used to wet.

goodnight, she's still high so probably won't check again tonight.
