16th cycle since reducing to 1.5 and Callie has mostly been in the green. (Her blues are within variance of green and usually at AMPS.) I've been really tired the last couple of weeks so I haven't yet been setting an alarm to give Callie a PM +8/9 snack as has been suggested to bring her AMPS down. I'm still working on finding stainless steel bowls to fit in an automated feeder.

@Bandit's Mom @tiffmaxee Do you think it makes sense for us to attempt a reduction to 1.25 tonight or should we give Callie a couple more days at 1.5?

(I didn't ask about reducing yesterday because Callie was quite constipated and I was worried we were going to have to take her to an emergency vet today, which likely would have shot her BG to the moon... thankfully, we got a large poop just before AMPS today. :woot: )

That poop sure would have been a relief for Callie and you! :-)

She's looking good and I think you can attempt another reduction.

BTW, will porcelain/ceramic bowls not work? I think people use them in autofeeders.

HUGE relief! Callie was happily trotting around the apartment with her tail straight up and Rob and I trotted after her (dancing and singing!) A full-on poop parade celebration. :p

Great. Thanks, Bhooma! Unless Elise disagrees, we will reduce to 1.25 tonight.

Porcelain/ceramic or even glass might work. I just get so nervous with all of Callie's skin issues and since I know stainless doesn't aggravate anything for her, I would prefer not to rock the boat and try anything new if I don't have to. But it is proving pretty difficult to find stainless in that small size. A while back you sent me a link to glass dipping bowls that someone was using from William Sonoma. I am going to look for that link and maybe try those bowls if I can't find stainless soon.
