I just got a message from Tonya.
She says:
I basically fell off the wagon with the updates and then felt guilty every time I would try to catch up and then just said the heck with it.
So today was just horrible. Out of the blue, with no warning or ryhme or reason I came home and found Tiki dead on the floor. Cold. I rushed to the vet but it was too late. I can't even believe I am writing this. I am just in utter shock. The day was like every other. Nothing out of the ordinary or anything. He tested this morning at 324. I was giving him 2.5 units. I fed him at 9a. He ate his entire bowl of breakfast like usual. I was home until 12:30 then left to run around for work. Got home at 630p - ish. And he was gone. I rushed him to the nearest vet, not my usual one and banged on the door to let me in as they had just closed. Not sure if it was a hypo issue or maybe a sudden heart attack or stroke. There was no sign of vomit or diarrhea or of anything wrong at all. He was laying on the floor at the corner of my bed, not a place where he would usually be. There were some wet spots like drool, it didn't smell like urine. He was just limp. Eyes dialated. I didn't think there was anything the vet could do but I went anyway. He had NEVER had a hypo before so I had no idea what it would look like if thats what actually happened. Even when his numbers dropped to the 30's he would behave like usual but would be meowing his head off. So I don't know what happened. But he is gone. I can't even wrap my head around it.
I owe a reply to Julie as well so I will cross post this to her too.

she told me I could share the info. She's just in shock and not sure who all would remember her.
