Bo, try going to the below site and use the create avatar option with the picture you want to use.

http://www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/resize.php
** make sure you select the size of 90 pixel - the default is 200 at the shrinkpicture site.

save the avatar, then go to the following on this board:
user control panel
profile
edit avatar

then just select that saved avatar in the Upload from your machine field.

I am sure that there are other ways but that's how I got mine posted.

I tried to help you with your picture (from old FDMB) http://felinediabetes.com/gallery2/d/13 ... ke-sig.jpg but it took me hours and hours to do J.D.'s. I don't remember what I did to finally get J.D.'s picture small enough.
