Haven't posted since Thursday - work was busy and we had family in town this weekend. Not much to report. Logan still doesn't want to eat on his own. He won't eat more than a few bites of anything. He had a good day Saturday where he came out and was somewhat social. Since then, he's been staying to himself. He's getting a little difficult about the tube feedings. He just doesn't like it. I'm worried about him.

The internist wants us to start prednisolone tomorrow. She's starting him on 10mg twice a day for three days and then 5 mg twice a day for 1-2 weeks. She's also suggesting we give him colustrum (sp?) twice a day. I'm really hoping he'll show some more interest in eating after we start the pred. I'm so scared he's not going to eat again. :( He's still so lethargic and just doesn't have any sparkle in his eyes.

I'm hoping his super high BG this morning was a spike from the anti-nausea medication. We usually test him at the same time we give it, but this morning, it was about 45 min after.

((Kelly)) Have been thinking of you guys....maybe Logan is tired of playing this game, huh?
If he knows it won't be forever, maybe he will be ok with it all. Now, to get that idea into his head.....
hmmmm...how to TELL them what we want them to know...that's the problem...
Hope he becomes a little more enthusiastic about eating soon....glad to see your post. Hugs to Logan from us...

Hi Kelly
Glad to see you're back. I was hoping you would post soon
and let us know how you and Logan are doing.
Yes you have your hands full and this is a tough journey for now.
You know you are doing everything possible for Logan.
One step at a time. Rome was not built in a day.
Logan did not get sick in a day. It will take time to heal and get
back on track.
It will get better. You are very dedicated.
Missed you guys!!!

Good to see you back. We missed you. Hope Logan feels better soon and starts to eat. Sending snowflakes, eating and feeling better vines.

((Kelly)) I hope Logan feels better soon, will be sending prayers ur way and thinking of u both.

How is he doing tonight?

((((Kelly)))) good luck with the prednisolone, I hope it brings some relief to Logan. Sending eating vines, come on Logan!

Sending lots of eating vibes to Logan. We know the feeding tube is helping him, even if he doesn't like it much, poor baby. Hope the prednisolone helps. All my best wishes for you, Kelly.

Re: 1/19 Logan AMPS 484, PMPS 412

Not a good night. We added the colostrum (1/4 of 500 mg capsule) to his food tonight. It was mixed in with 2/3 can of food and we only gave him about 1/3 of that. He's been trying to vomit for the past 25 minutes. He can only get foam to come up. I'm not sure why he can't get the food up. Im afraid he's not going to stop. :( Is there anything I can do?

(((Kelly))) Just seeing this now and hoping Logan is okay. If you have a health emergency/concern like this again in the future, please change the subject line to get more eyes on your condo, or you can add the 911 icon to the subject too. Or post on the Health board if LL seems slow.

Sending lots of healing vines.

(((Kelly))) and ((Logan)) I hope things get better soon. Remember we FD around everything else so if Logan needs Prednisolone then you have to work his insulin around that. I hope it helps him, I can tell you from my personal experience that I love Cortisone! No matter how bad I feel it always works and fast. Oh and appitite yup it helps there too, unfourtunatly a little to well for me! Hope Logan gets to feeling better soon. Maybe he needs something to help with the vomiting, something against nausea or something against stomache acid. Hope it settles down quickly. Good luck to you guys.
