No worries, a dollop of peppermint and vanilla and chocolate and caramel swirl ice cream, on top of a dollop of fudge, sprinkled with peppermint chips and a chocolate caramel drizzle.... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh....... mega good! TJ's dunking cookies and Cronuts too!
I hope everyone had a great day yesterday. It was a good one here yesterday. I enjoy our mornings here before we all get so busy and take off for the day. The boys will play together, well Nicholas will show William how to do things, and give him toys to play with. Then we work on "the plan" for the day. This was from the activities director when I picked him up yesterday: "ok grammie, this is the plan: Juanita Beach, then the aquarium, then bothell park, lunch with mommy, then the science center, then picnic point and then we go swimming. You ok with the plan? OK? We need to compromise?"    We did have to compromise! We talked alot about swimming in the evening, once William had been dropped off with his dad. It was nice to see him warm up to a new pool. This is what I posted late last night, once I got home from a very long day: "HI everyone! here is is 9:30, and I have just walked in the door.... AM I ever tired! Nicholas and William and I have a full day today - we visited their mom at work, and then we took their mom out to lunch at Nicholas's favorite place: Red Robin. Dang that was good! I had hope to be able to go the a beach park today, but the temps just never warmed up, nor did the fog lift. I was about 35 and foggy most places. so... we elected to keep it indoors. Since the KIdsQuest Children's Museum was so close their mom's work I elected to take the boys there. Nicholas was excited - he loves the place. William does well there too: he really enjoys the water things. Nicholas wanted to go swimming too, so we continued with what is becoming another traditions: FR night swims. We had a great time, pigged out on burgers and fries after that. Great day, but a long one. ;-) " yes it was, a very long day. It still amazes me at just turned 3 Nicholas is so full of energy, ready to go at a drop of a hat. He was fairly tired after the children's museum, so I asked him if he still wanted to swim. His face lit up, the engines revved and he was all set: "YES GRAMMIIE! Let's go! " This was a hoot. All day we talked about which pool, and each time he says Lynnwood. So we get there, and I hear this groan from the back seat, followed by : "oh no! Grammie, this is the wrong pool! I made a mistake. I picked the wrong pool! Can we go to the other pool, pleeaasssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee?" ah heck. traffic sucked, we were delayed, but... we went to the other pool. he was so taken back by his error, how could I say no? What an awesome day.
Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
What to say about the kitties.... They have been good kitties, and even Lola! Well sorta on Lola... Lola will always be Lola. she still helps me shower: lots of shower door pounding, and sitting on the towels, warming them up for me.
When I got home last night I watched Bug continue to maneuver Lola into runs and romps. That is so fun to watch. There was nothing amiss when I got home, just kitties waiting at the top of the stairs. They seem to have adjusted to the late Friday nights. I get a few meows, some leg rubs, they get scritches in return, and then off they go. We have been a bit on the foggy and cold side here, steady mid 30's, fogs that just have not lifted. Both Bug and Elsa, and even Lola some too, seem to have spent the day napping in their beds. I think Elsa went out for a bit, but she sure didn't stay long. Smart girl! Off to a warm bed for her after that. yupp, for sure Normalcy in MusketeerVille!
Have a great day everyone! I am off with my DD, DSIL, and the boys in a few to the Pacific Science Center for a model train exhibit that they have their this weekend. It sounds really cool, with lots of interactive things for all, and Nicholas loves trains, so we all thought this might be good to see. It should be a fun morning. Nicholas is so excited to be able to show his mom and dad one of his favorite places. Time permitting, I may go for a short hike though the woods to the shore here once I get home. ;-)
