Yesterday
I guess we all needed a good night's sleep...the sun has come up on a new day, and so far, it is looking pretty good.
- I got wonderfully intense wake-up snuggles while I was checking e-mail before breffis. I guess her brain reprogrammed during the overnight hours and all the transgressions of yesterday were forgotten!
- Trix's morning gelcap (BP meds, etc) went down on the first try, hiss- and growl-free.
- Appy is happy with a mini Mannie Fuds Dance AND a bonus round of walking up to a bowl of Fancy Feast, sitting down, and eating completely on her own...no MamaBean presenting or holding the plate. She didn't know I was watching...this is the first I have seen her do this in a VERY long time (except, of course, when she's hunting stray kibbles left behind by the kibbleheads).
- We had a Happy Pee Dash...yes, because I am a true L&LL MamaBean, I have been following her to the LB box every time I can and confirmed that it was a Happy Pee Dash as opposed to a Happy Crap Dash. Trix does like to put her own spin on tradition. I could tell she was getting revved up for fun and adventure, but - as my Dad says, "A wise man (girl) goes when he can, not when he (she) has to." So, she hit the box, bolted out, ran down the stairs, and speed-toured the first floor of the house! After The Dash, she settled down with the aforementioned bowl of Fancy Feast.
- Banana Meds (aka diabetic-friendly liquid amoxicillin) are in her belly and not on her fur. I tried a different technique this morning - basically the same technique I use when I assist-feed her - and it was far more successful that last night's fiasco. So far, it appears that the two ABs are not bothering her belly, but her probiotic and cranberry treats are supposed to be delivered today.
- MamaBean is meltdown free this morning. Just like everything came to a head for Trix last Sunday when she got really sick, it all came to a head for me yesterday, when getting the gigantic second AB into her became an issue. I knew we'd get through it, but I knew I had to let the meltdown run it's course too. Thank you, everyone, for all your posts and support yesterday, this past week, and the past almost-4 years!
Unfortunately, it is time for me to start getting ready for work, and I anticipate a long, drawn-out day. Have a great day, L&LL!

PS - My Dad is well past his chemo crash from the last round and is feeling pretty great, too. Trix and my Dad are my two miracles....
