I'm ok for now. If he drops into the 40s, pull out the syrup.
You could even put a couple drops in his food to bump him up for an hour if you want to feel comfortable taking an hour long nap. <------- You dont have to wait for 40s to do this!

I wish I could give you a number, but I can't. At the time you'll have to analyze how much it took to get his numbers up and if it appears they'll stay up for an hour or two.

He has put 2 lbs back on since the ketones ate him up. He was 15.6 yesterday and he had gone down to 13.8 . Before FD, he was 24 lbs! That was too much mind you, the vet wanted him to get down to 20. At the time of DX he was 19 and then continued to drop. He is looking good now and I wouldn't mind another 1-2 lbs on him as he is a huge cat. He is like a small bob cat. We called him the "Bub-cat"
 
Bub-cat! I love it. I'm so glad he's put on some weight. And double-glad that those nasty ketones are behind you! :bighug:

at least he's holding steady, but it's taking a lot to keep him there.
He might be done with this dose, Bobbie. I would have loved to see him hold it longer, but if it takes this much work to keep him safe we'll have to reduce the dose...

It sure seems that way. 5 u wasn't enough, so where do we go? A fat 5 ?

5u might be enough now. I think I'd rather see you try 5u again before messing around with fattening the dose. Sometimes it only takes a couple of doses to get things moving again.

Besides, if it doesn't work, there's more than one way to get things done around here...
Bubba just may be better off with a little less Lantus and reintroducing R again. Let me pow-wow with Libby about that tomorrow to see what she thinks.

I'll take him back to 5 tomorrow AM. During the last 5 cycle, I had 2 mishaps with fur shots, so maybe that screwed up the momentum with that round?
 
He is 73 @+7 . He usually starts to go up about now before he comes down. Maybe I could get a hour sleep and wake up and check on him?
 
Bubba sure had you dancing tonight, but it was great to see those numbers! Hope you were able to get some shut eye. Sweet dreams (can you get to dream state in 15 mins? lol).
