Bubbas looking good, he had a great cycle yesterday, hope you can catch up on some sleep before your visitors. He may well make it to the lagoon a little later this afternoon. He's probably just waxing his board for some surf action later on;)

This is probably a dumb question, but I'll ask anyway...
Any chance of taking a nap before your dinner guests come in case Bubba gives you reason to be up tonight?

+4-79, gave his usual .75 oz of food for his last snack of the cycle. Guess I better stay up for at least another hour to see what's what....

PS I think you called his one right, @Jill & Alex (GA) ....... depending on what I get at +5, (10:30 EST) if it's lower than 79, I will give a little of med carb to get a little sleep and check again in a few hours depending on the number. It was inevitable that I would sooner or later have a night run....;):blackeye:

Let's see what the +5 number is... hopefully you'll be able to do as planned. :)
Don't be afraid to leave food out and /or use HC to bump numbers up especially if you're laying down for a couple of hours. They're options.

Wish we could pick when the low cycles happen. So far, you've lucked out...
unfortunately, the goal is low cycles (less than 100), every cycle, every day. :D

We have been incredibly lucky with only a hand full of times at nighttime. If need be I will give some HC food to get a bit of sleep. All in all, I am still thrilled that he is responding so well. I know it's a matter of time that the thrill is gone. Wasn't that a R & B song?? The thrill has gone away......

Yes, don't be afraid to use the tools you have... especially at night. With a late nadir cat one has to think in terms of how far you are away from nadir.
 
He's right on track with yesterday's cycle.
Best bet is to retest in about 30 -45 minutes to see what kind of bump the HC gave him.

At this point, I'd like to see him up enough to where you could nap on the couch for a bit... wouldn't want you to get too comfortable in bed and risk not hearing an alarm. :)

I'm going to test him again in about 10 minutes, 11:40 EST. Depending on the number, I will catch a few zzz in the living room with my phone set for another 30 mins. I always sleep with one eye open anyway; leftover from children.
 
It's also possible it'll take him closer to an hour to see the full effects of the HC, but who wants to experiment at night? Let's save that experiment for a daytime low.

I'd give him more HC just because it's night time and nadir is a long way off.

I gave him 2 more tsp. Going to check in another 30. If you're tired Jill, I am okay. As long as he doesn't get into the 40 range I won't freak. :eek: I am imagining that I will be at this till daybreak if he doesn't come up, right? If he does come up, at what number can I feel like I can go to sleep at?
