Yesterday's Condo

WCR - Gabby left a major hairball deposit in the hallway this morning. Pre-hairball, Gabby seemed to have a bit of puddingpoo. I'll be keeping an eye on the litterbox. She did, however, eat all of her breakfast and would have eaten some of Gizmo's but he didn't leave her any.

cheryl, do you think you can measure a skinny 1.5u versus the fat 1.25u she's getting now?
i'm just thinking... with the way gabby bounces it would be nice if we could give her enough insulin to pull down those high bouncy numbers without sending her too low.

I can try. Gabby already got her shot this morning so I can see if I can measure that closely for the PM cycle.

Something this morning when I left for tbp didn't seem quite right. Not that I thought Gabby was sick. This may seem odd, but I think whenever her numbers are in the lower ranges, there's a change in the texture of her coat. It's softer and silkier. Her coat was like that this AM and she was asking for food before her +2 test. I figured I try to get home mid-day in addition to leaving a lot of food in the feeder. The food is gone -- she probably ate within the hour, so I'm not sure if this number is influenced by food or not. Either way, it's a good number.

I definitely see the same thing in Kitty's coat. Low numbers = silky coat. Even a rise of 50 points changes it.

Hope these lovely numbers continue!

Hairballs seem to have a big impact on bs levels...glad to know she's doing better, and that she's silkier. Esse's entire coat has changed in the last few weeks...so I totally know what you're talking about!

Yeah Gabby - like to see that blue numbah there on your ss. Whenever Max blesses me with a hairball, it always shows in his numbers and his overall appearance and demeanor. I've resorted to giving him a dribble of olive oil on top of his food every other day and so far this has stopped the hairballs (knocking on wood). Seems as though it has also improved the overall appearance of his coat.

You seem to have tasted all the colors, just about, so how about getting to those sunshine yellows and head slowly to some blues!
