I'm not sure what happened yesterday from his AMS+11 to his PMPS because he jumped up a whopping 105 points without food (285 to 390). I'm thinking he might not have eaten his +9 timer meal till well after +10 (I didn't get home till +11).

Not sure how common this is, but it was the first time it ever happened to me: last night, when I went to give him his PMS, the needle bent! :o There didn't seem to be even a drop of insulin missing from it, so I squirted it out into the sink, tossed the needle, and gave him "another" shot. Poor baby. Even still, it looks like he's well on his way to clearing the bounce and/or the fur shot from the other night because his AMPS this morning is looking a lot better.

It happens and then they recover. Perhaps if you changed the shot location around he wouldn't be so sensitive.

I shoot him in both the sides and flanks in a grid-like pattern, alternating AM right and PM left, and moving from top-to-bottom and front-to-back, so at most he might get a shot in the same place about once a week. Come to think of it, I wonder if this explains why his twitching is more pronounced and an all-over-the-body thing?

Nice +4! Work that juice Mikey!

There is one other thing that I can think of that might help, the old clothespin trick!

Kittens become very subdued when mama picks them up by the scruff. I you don't have a third hand or someone to help you, you can pull up on the scruff and place spring clothes pins on it to have both hands free.

Hi +5 is even better. Although I did feed him, I'm hoping we might hit green for +6!

He's actually surprisingly easy to test and shoot...probably because he doesn't know any better since most of his short life has been consumed with testing and shooting. It's just that I know it's hurting him and he can feel it lately so it makes me want to figure out something so it doesn't bother him so badly.
