Got a yellow. Ruby's been doing some extreme bounces lately--she might have gone low last night but I didn't catch it. Will continue to monitor but maybe we have to go back up to 2.75.

Forgot to add that I stepped on Ruby's tail this morning. :( Might be why her numbers are higher, my poor girl. I was barefoot, thankfully not wearing hard soled shoes, and she let out a horrendous screech. She hid under the bed for a little while, but then seemed to forgive me by coming up to me for butt scritches and sitting on my lap. I hope she's not in pain.

Don't beat yourself up over stepping on Ruby's tail, it happens to a lot of us. I feel pretty certain you would know quickly if there was any real bone damage. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug: But I definitely feel your pain, when my Tiger was still with us, I stepped on her foot, fell backward hitting my head on the corner of the staircase and nearly falling down the stairs, all the while trying to not step on her tail any harder than I did:oops::oops::oops: She hollered, which she never did and I rushed her to the vet for an xray and luckily no broken bones. Glad to hear she wanted the scritches! :bighug: p.s. It looks like she might be due for a poop? Doesn't that raise BG?

Thanks, Ruth. Sad to say it was not the first time I've ever stepped on her tail. :( I used to live in a tiny studio and the cats were always under me. But I didn't have a glucose meter that gave me an objective measure of her distress until now! She seemed to be fine the rest of the day and hounded me for food a bunch of times because I've been home all day, so I am really hoping she is ok. I found a big poop in the litter box yesterday so I would think that wasn't the problem. Sigh. I have literally changed nothing in terms of what I've been feeding her, giving her the same dose of Lactulose and probiotic as I did when she was on 2.75 units. Perhaps tomorrow morning I will measure somewhere in between 2.5 and 2.75 on the calipers and see what that does.
