Sorry, I'm so late getting a condo up. We had a lazy day today.
I don't know if I should increase J.D.'s dose or not as he dives so fast down that it makes him bounce (and, I just gave him some R and probably shouldn't have for just that reason), but I gave him an increase this morning, just to try. I'll re-evaluate on Monday. With him not eating on his own, I am totally comfortable with him going to blues only at nadir.
I started giving him canned pumpkin in his syringe feedings last night and I see a slight improvement in his poos.
We went for 3 walks today before it started raining. I have been alternating between watching T.V. and reading some Feline Pancreatitis Support Group emails (which I rarely get a chance to during the week), so mostly the latter.
I have noticed that his body shape seems more normal, in that instead of seeing a diamond shaped cat when I look down on him (little rump, big belly, medium shoulders), I see a more normally shaped cat. When I look at him from the side, I don't see the belly hanging down as much. His belly does still get full and bloated quickly after feeding, but seems to go back to normal faster, lately. I need antijinx on all of the above paragraph.
He goes to his water bowl and drinks half the time and around half the time he hangs his head over the bowl. I read from Tanya's CRF Site that it is often a sign of nausea or excess stomach acid. He is on ondansetron BID and Zantac BID. If he would only eat in the middle of the day and the middle of the night, he would not have an empty tummy for all those hours in between and maybe that would help his tummy. Today, he ate a few tiny bites of MC in the morning, and has eaten a few cat treats and maybe a bite or a lick of LC during the afternoon.
I just gave him some Slippery Elm Bark as normally he gets it at the end of his 3 feedings at night time, and I have heard that it is best given on an empty tummy and his is right now, and I am home to give it.
J.D.'s poos are slightly improved
