Mom has the Lantus pen? Started out 1 unit twice a day. Mom was so stressed worrying about Oscar and dad too. The vet made them wait out in the heat. Until it was their turn. Mom has a heart condition. When she complained they snapped at her.

Man that vet is a piece of crap making them wait outside in the heat, and then he snapped at them. Oh I wish I was there with your parents when he did that!
Maybe down the road they can find a more compassionate vet
