Vacation is over and I am out the door to work.

J.D. was down to a low of 10lbs 2oz on the 16th, and 10lbs 4.5oz on the 17th, and 10lbs 6oz yesterday, and 10lbs 10oz this morning.

He got 100ml of fluid at 6:30pm last night and his 10lbs 10oz weight was at 6:30am this morning after six 10ml syringes of cat food and one 6ml syringe of baby food squash.

I would like him back up to 11lbs, but this may be a little fast? Thoughts..

Syringed eight 10ml of cat food. Two walk. Ketones - Negative.

Out the door.... exit stage left.

Come on down JD! Bummer on back to tbp. I hope it was a good vacation. Looks like he is steadily gaining weight. It is hard to put it back on them. Tarragon just finally got back to 11 pounds. Have a great day Dyana!

Hi guys .. boo on vacation time being over .. how come that goes so much faster than work time? J.D., I hope you find your way back down to the lower levels soon .. lots of kitty fun going on there! No advice on the weight issue from me but I hope you can get it figured out .. have a great day!

I don't know about the weight gain, but I hope you can get him to your goal. I hate going back to work after vacation. I hope your day went by quickly.

Hi Dyana,
As long as J.D. is feeling good and gradually gaining weight, you can live with that AMPS number! I hope your first day of work after vacation wasn't too stressful. Hang in there!

It's great that J.D. is gaining weight! I hope he is nibbling at food still for you, too. Now if we can just get him down off the roof..... :o

Sending better number vines for this evening.

Thank you for the vines, everyone. :YMHUG: Sorry, I've been missing. I just had no spare minutes this morning. I'll post his today condo, when I get home from work.

Yesterday, I was so mad. I was on the phone and just as I hung up the phone, my colleague said your vet just called. He said to try to call her right back and she was already in an appointment. I waited anxiously for 6 hours for her to try to call me back and when I couldn't handle it anymore, I tried calling her, to find out that she had left for the day.

After work, I picked up the paperwork for his Potassium and Sodium test and they are both back within range, still on the low side but back to normal range again. His Chloride was a little low, but my vet didn't mention that when I finally got to talk to her today. I think she said his Magnesium which wasn't back yet yesterday, was also on the low side of the normal range.
We will hopefully get the results of his C&S by Friday or maybe Saturday, if we are lucky.

I did try some cypro last night and it didn't seem to do anything, so that was a disappointment.
This morning he ate some cat treats, and a little bit of cat food. He got his meds and tons of syringe feeding. He was back to 10lbs 3oz when I got home from work yesterday, and the folks on the Feline Pancreatic Support Group or maybe it was the Feline Assisted Feeding Group (I'm not sure which) said that that was good and was reflecting the fluctuations in his weight from getting the fluids and not fluid retention which is what we don't want. This morning he was 10lbs 7oz, so I guess his weight is all over the place right now. This morning, we went for two walks, but alas no poo was ready. He does need poo vines, and of course appy vines and feel better vines, so if you have any to spare, please continue to send them over.

Back to work for me. I think J.D. was relieved when I walked out the door this morning. Yeah, the rest of the day is mine! he said.

Great that there is improvement. once all labs are normal, he should start being more like himself (is that a good thing or bad) ;) anyway, good job dyana
and all the vines and healing light and snowflakes are sent your and JDs way.
