Re: 08/16 J.D. AMPS 247, PMPS 365, The Reunion
The Reunion: Basically it was a 6 1/2 hour drive each way. We left at 6:10pm on Thursday, and I was hoping to make it to Deb's by around 11:30pm. Poor girl, doesn't even know me, and I arrived at 12:45am or something like that. We sat up and talked until like 3:00am that night

It was fun, I hope she doesn't hate me, or hold it against me

I was so worried that J.D. wouldn't eat during the car ride or while staying at Deb's, but at +1 or so, I grabbed some crackers to eat and he was watching me eat, so I pulled over and fed him, and he ate!!!. By about +3 (3 hours into the trip), it became dark, and the cats quit
crying singing. Man, Ginger can hurt my ears
When we arrived, J.D. ate like a can of FF and was talking talking talking talking (to himself ), like someone had slipped him some Mirtz.
When we finally went to bed, J.D. did his thing of purring me to sleep laying above my head.
The next day (after sleeping in), we went on a little shopping tour of downtown Pittsburg, where we bought some bonito flakeds from a chinese store for $1.49 each!, then Dian came over with Wheezer, and brought Sheryl (and Peaches) with her son Michael who is 1 1/2 and going to be a charmer. We had a little pool party and cookout at Deb's, and Deb's neighbor brought over a couple of little teeny tiny 2 week old kittens for us to ooh and coo over.
The next day, Deb and I went to the National? Aviary and checked out some neat birds, and got to hand feed some lorikeets these little cups of nector. After that, we rushed to the reunion at Dian's, and I got to finally meet Dian (hero worship) and her fosters Twinkie and Beasley, her other cats Spanky, Elsie May, Kohl, and Candy. I never met Callie, she must have been hiding. Of the humans, I met Kris (of Kris & Jane); Lynn (&Tigger), Francine (& Garth GA), Marjorie (& Tigger GA) Francine brought her husband and her adorable little boy Cameron, Sheryl (and Peaches) and her son Michael, and of course Dian's very nice mom, Mildred was there. Anna, brought her most precious baby yorkie Brighton Star. We had the best food and best desserts (Deb even made these neat cottage cheese patties, I've never even eaten a turkey, chicken. or even a veggie burger before, and these were really mmm mmm good  ). Then we mostly sat outside on the patio and talked and enjoyed the kitties and Dian's beautiful gardens. We left around midnight. Deb and I talked until about 2:00am, and slept in the next day, and then got ready to leave.
We hit the road at about 2:30pm, the cats sang for about the first 3 hours again, and I got home a little after 9:00pm. My cats did great at Deb's place. J.D. ate every time I fed him, and even did just fine, with Deb's lusciuosly soft and fine flat-coated-retriever-like dog Molly. I love Molly and threatened to take her home with us. Deb's cat Ralphie was a real sweetheart, and Ali is beautiful and the tiniest full grown cat I've ever seen. Spot didn't like Ginger so much, and once chased her around the living room, but was a real gentlemen with me, and I got a couple of really nice pictures of him. All in all, the adventure and trip, reunion, and company, was excellent, and I will remember it for a lifetime. I will definitely plan to go back next year, if they'll have me.
