The e-tube is easy enough to use, but each feed takes close to an hour from preparation through to cleaning the syringes after I'm done feeding her. The instructions say that each meal should be given slowly, between 15-30 minutes per meal. But I have to flush the tube before and after, and push meds, so the time all adds up. I am probably pushing things in a little more slowly than I need to be out of an abundance of caution.
On Thursday evening her vet put her on back on Prazosin because she hadn't been peeing even after all of the IV fluids she received at the vet's on Wednesday. She has been peeing better since then.
I have to prioritize her GI issues and inappetence. I am turning over her diet to the vet nutritionist. Butters has been mainly raw fed and/or canned LC for 6.5 years and that hasn't worked so at this point I'm willing to try pretty much anything in order to keep her eating and to get her feeling good. CKD is on the back burner, and DM is also on the back burner: I'm willing to give a higher carb canned food a shot and increase her insulin accordingly to keep her in healthy numbers.

Butters is doing okay, thank you for asking. Certainly better than she had been doing the past couple of weeks. I know I can get enough calories into her now, which is amazing! Because she was barely eating off and on for a week or more, the vet had me give her less calories initially, and I'm slowly increasing the amount I feed her daily to get back to her full caloric intake.
