J.D. got more fluids this morning as his fur was slow to go back down when I lifted it up to test it for hydration this morning.
He got four 10ml syringes of HC Friskies with beef bone marrow that was blended in, and he got two 10ml syringes of Iams Maximum Calorie. The folks on the Feline Pancreatitis Support Group are thinking that the Iams MaxCal may just have too much fat in it for J.D., contrary to what is believed that cat with pancreatitis can handle more fat than dogs (or humans) with pancreatitis.
He has an appointment with his regular vet, tomorrow morning. The vet we saw yesterday was not his regular vet, and he gave (sold) me some Reglan to take home but said to "keep it in my back pocket" for now. I just found out that it has a Black Box Warning, so I will be talking to his regular vet about that and about fluids and hopefully about some suggestions on food. He has been sleeping a lot. Thus drinking less.
Back to work..
