J.D. is not feeling so good this morning. He has eaten a little. I slept through feedings last night, and this morning at +11 he did the throw up bile because his tummy was empty, but nothing came out. I gave him some Pepcid. I syringed 10ml of MaxCal. I gave him cypro and onda a little before AMPS, and he ate around 1/4 can of MC FF Medleys. I gave him some Bupe at +0.5. I slept on the couch all night last night and I did wake up twice (in the middle of the night and this morning) to find him up there cuddled with me. He did not poo yesterday, and needs to poo. He just wants to lay around and sleep.
I don't want to go to work. Today is the first day of my training a new guy, so :YMSIGH: I guess I'll just have to break away from training and come home to check on J.D. I probably should have halved his dose of insulin and did not. Ug.

I need hugs and J.D. needs vines.

:YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: :YMHUG: for you.

Sending all the healing vines, white light, and snowflakes we can muster for JD.

I don't know if it helps or not to know this, but when Gus would have not-so-good days and I'd talk to the vet, she told me that, just like elderly humans, they are going to have days they don't feel as well. It's part of aging. She said it's more important to stay attune to when the bad days are a lot more frequent than the good days or the QOL has diminished.

Thinking of you and JD.

Dyana, we don't get to the condos often. But always, always we keep the light and prayers headed to you and JD. Lots and lots and lots of vines today especially.

Re: 07/15 J.D. AMPS 314 - needs vines

(((Hugs))) to you Dyana and vines to J.D...
Hope he's feeling better soon!

Thanks for all the vines and hugs. I'm sure they helped J.D.
I had left out mainly HC, and a bit of MC on top of LC.

I did run home at lunch, and J.D. was okay and 184 at +7. He ate some deli roast beef.
I could not find Ginger anywhere. I called and called and shook treats and opened all the closets and checked the basement and called outside in case she escaped, and I guess she was hiding behind the couch because the second I gave up she crawled out with her hair all mussed up.

What do you call it when an animal is laying down but laying on their tummy not all stretched out? J.D. was laying like that in the bathroom and after I tested him, he ate most of his 1st Dinner (of LC cat food!) and has since retired to the bedroom, but ate a little more food there.

I did not give J.D. bupe yesterday (I forgot in the morning, and meant to last night, and feel asleep and just didn't). He was acting okay, yesterday and last night. He also didn't poo yesterday. He's been pooing twice and sometimes once a day, so going a day without may have made him feel uncomfortable. When I got home from work, there was a just a tiny bit soft poo prezzie from J.D., nice size, a little light in color.

Ginger was hiding again, but I just found her. She and I battle all the time for the computer chair that I am now sitting in. She just climbed up the cloth back of it and then clawed me between the back rest and the seat. Someone needs their nails trimmed.

So, thanks guys, for all your vines, hugs, and support. I really needed them. As I've said before, no one at our office takes a lunch break so they (well the main person I work with, at least) rolls her eyes up at me when she asked where I was going and I said I was going home to check on my cat. And then she's complaining that the office smells like animal. J.D. did not go pee or poo the entire time we were there on Sunday. He held it all in until the walk from my car to my condo once we got home. Maybe, it's just me she smells.

Anyway, :YMHUG: to all of you wonderful people.

WOOT for eating and poo!! Good boy JD. cat_pet_icon I'm keeping the vines going just in case.

Was it meatloafing position you were referring to? Sounds like he feeling fine now. Bupe can cause constipation, so you may need to add something like bf squash or pumpkin to his meals to compensate.

No, when a cat or horse or cow or any animal lays on it's sternum? I'm not sure if that's the right word, like a cow laying down but chewing it's cud. Just relaxed, but not laid out flat and asleep. There's a difference between laying down all stretched out on the side with the head down and sleeping to kind of laying down but sitting up kind of sort of.

Anyway, J.D. just ate a little more LC (okay, I admit, I added some FF dry on top, to entice him). I am going to try not syringe feeding tonight. He will be happy about that.

I just took out my Magic Bullet that I bought myself for Christmas and took everything out of the box and washed it. I have not ever used it. I thought maybe J.D. would like slurrys, as he seems to like the juice from his food the best, so maybe adding water and making it "juicier" would appeal to him.

Yay for J.D. eating!! :-D :-D I think your colleague needs to get a life...

She's kind of sort of my employee and one of the hardest people I have ever had to get along with. A real challenge in my life.
She has a cat that lives with her parents in Maryland. Her parents have a house full of collie dogs, so the cat lives outdoors. I'm sure her cat is not a young cat. She mentioned that she was worried about her cat during this last really really cold winter, and her parents made it a box outside with a blanket and said she was just fine. I swear I worried way more about her cat, than she or her parents did. :YMSIGH: People! :-|

It's bed time for us. Hopefully, I'll remember to (wake up to my alarm to) give J.D. some bupe at 10:00pm. Then he'll get some at 6:00ish tomorrow morning and will have to go back to a 12/12 schedule starting tomorrow.

Again, thanks for the vines, and hugs. I needed them. :YMHUG:
At least most of the other people I work with are more understanding, like my boss thankfully.

I am glad that J.D. is feeling better and pooed some. It's not easy caring for an older cat and juggling work. You do it well. Sometimes people have personal issues and so are challenging to work with.
