Yesterday's Condo

I was so happy to see that yellow and then that blue last night.

J.D. ate pretty good last night, all considered. I think he ate one small meal of two flavors of LC FF and two small meals of MC FF (because he ate it) and he ate about 1/2 jar of baby food beef with broth and he ate a bit of deli roast beef.

This morning, he hasn't eaten much so far. We're working on that.

Time for Bupe and then btb. His 2nd acupuncture appointment with the new doctor is this morning at +4.75, so we have to leave at +3.

J.D. had a nice poo this morning. He ate a couple bites of LC and a bunch of MC FF Medleys and a 1/2 jar of baby food beef with gravy.
My new vial of Bupe kept squirting out onto my hand (while inverted) when I pulled the syringe out. I had to run to our regular vet this morning and she said it was because it was full and the air pressure was doing that and in the future if it does that I should stick an empty needle without the syringe attached into the top and I will hear a poof as the built up air is expelled. The pharmacist did say there was air in the vial as she did the needle thing and she said if you look at the gray rubber stopper, you'll see that it's puffed up. She put it in a new syringe for me anyway. I love to learn new things.

Off to acupuncture. Hoping it's a good experience.

J.D. seemed to have a good appointment.
Dr. S put some needles in the pancreatitis points and appetite points and hind end points.
We waited on the couch and J.D. relaxed and laid out on the towel with his head and front lets stretched across my lap, while the receptionist brought me a cup of coffee ~O) :thumbup .
I bought some new freeze dried rabbit & duck to try and opened the bag and J.D. ate some of them in the waiting room before the appointment.
J.D. walked from my car to my condo just fine after we got home.
He is now snoozing on a cat (dog) bed in the bathroom right under the vent where the air conditioning comes out. I don't know why he likes that cold air swhooshing right across his back and body, but I guess it feels good. I would just think he would like heat better with arthritis, but he enjoys the cold bathroom tile floor during the day, and laying with mommy under the blanket at night :)

She put a needle in each back paw, right on the top area of one of his middle toes. He kicked a lot when she put those in. She said that cats are often ticklish there.

I asked her about teaching to do acupressure and she referred me to a book called 4 Paw 5 Directions. She had to run to another clinic, so maybe next time, she can give me some hands on instruction.

I'm glad the acupuncture appointment went well. I hope it helps J.D. feel better and eat better.

I got out the R before I tested the +10 and he hasn't risen that much between +9 and +10, so I put it away.
I don't want him diving. Mellow ups and downs is what I'm after.
I think I'll take Ginger for a ride to the Gourmet Pet Store in town and see if they have any cat food rabbit or something.
 
J.D. has eaten okay so far tonight. He has had some Instinct Rabbit Minced, some MC FF Medleys with a little bit of FF LC mixed in, and I have syringe 20ml of MaxCal.

Off to bed for us.
