After every shot, out of habit I always push the plunger before throwing the syringe in the sharps container just to see if I gave all the insulin. Today for the first time I saw a tiny droplet of blood come out of the needle when I did this. I think I read somewhere on the forums that this isn't anything to be concerned about and that I probably just hit a capillary but I just wanted to check to be sure. She didn't react any differently to the shot so I'm guessing she didn't feel anything different.
