05/28 Merlin PMPS 20.2(364),11.3(203)@+1,6.8(122)@+2,5.7(103)@+3.25

It was in the second hour he dropped this morning. Not the third. It’s hard to see how this dropping will become less dramatic. Is it that his body will get used to the insulin and he just wont get high BGs anymore?

Interesting how he went yellow, pink, red and then back down to pink.
Meter variance is 20%. He went from 304 to 400 to 364. 20% of 400 is 80, so that 364 is practically the same number. The other thing that could be happening is a Lantus double dip, where they do a tiny bit of a downward curve at the end of the cycle. But honestly, I don't care about anything above 300, it's all just "too high". Any extra data is just noise.

A favour to ask of you Jill on the spreadsheet. The US spreadsheet isn't showing any of the values, because of the multiple entries. Could you go in an delete the "#value!" on the US sheet and replace it with the equivalent US values. What is important to show on the spreadsheet is the lower numbers. We dose based on how low the dose is taking the cat. So don't worry about updating anything above 200, just the blues and greens.

I was going to ask someone who also had a cat that dropped a lot the first cycle to stop by with suggestions, but the SS needs to be updated first. Getting an idea of what you have been doing for feeding to date will help. I don't care the brand you feed, but rather the carb%.

Do people ever share photos of themselves with their cats, or do we just stick to cat faces here? I got a cute one of us yesterday after his big drop was over.

@Wendy&Neko do you think the Libre variance is also 20%. Seems like I have seen 15% batted about the Board, not that there’s a lot of difference. I have been wondering this and just thought I would ask now since you are around.

Oh my goodness. It’s a mess over there. I’m sorry. This will take a while. Do you want me to do the asterisk to indicate contour readings too?

How about feeding a little carbs. Tell me what you have. Like 5-6 percent... not the big guns. and scan in 20. let's see what he does on that, because if he doesn't stay flat or go up a little, then we will know that he needs more carbs. Okay? Or what did you find this morning? Did you get a good response to low carbs, or not?

Seems like he’s heading down fast?
I agree. What about some 15 percent early? Or just go for even higher- really early in the cycle and then we go from there. I’m thinking we haven’t tried that yet. Do you think we should bring out the big guns (not honey but high carb food.)
