I think I'm going to take J.D. to the vet today, somehow. He wasn't eating that much last night, so I syringed some MaxCal. I woke up at +5 and it looked like projectile vomit on the carpet, but it was clear, I mean I only saw some cat treats in the wet spot.
I checked his blood ketones last night and it showed (or rather flashed) LO which according to the booklet is fine.
He did purr when he came to bed last night and slept cuddled with me, but I didn't sleep much. It seemed when he purrs that his breathing is faster, but when he doesn't purr it's slower. Is that normal?
He woke up groggy this morning, and ate a little food, drank a little water, pooed a little after I took his temperature (102.9) and peed a little (ketones - negative). I counted his breaths while laying down twice, and they were 7 per 15 seconds each time. I'll try to do it again.
I just hope he eats and is okay. I guess I will give him some cypro. I don't even know which vet to go to, my regular vet which isn't that good, or haul him all the way over an hours drive to Red Bank in Tinton Falls.
I just hope he feels better.
Please send vines for J.D. to feel better, and to eat better, today.
